Do you know what efficient means?

 

Are you guys new to the Westbrook thread? Not sure how it started, but it’s devolved into mostly laughing at his failures and we all know he’s inefficient with empty calorie stat padding that doesn’t equate to wins. His triple doubles recently have only resulted in losses...until last night against our downtrodden Rockets. Hence the sarcasm.

 

Yet he had 2 wins against the Nets, I luved it. The semi Kryptonite.

Efficiency comes into play in the regular season more.

What I think the reason he fails in the playoffs is his decision making and that he is excercising too much stamina on the wrong side of basketball when it matters.

And probably Patrick Beverley.

 

Russ actually played amazingly that last game against the Nets. He turned back the clock. I had nothing but respect for him after that game. That just isn’t the type of player he is anymore, but for one night he was MVP Russ fueled by wanting to stick it to KD and Harden for not inviting him to the OKC reunion/revenge tour.

 

Maybe Russ loves to stick it to Harden and Durant.

 

What’s really crazy is I kept running across some weirdos online suggesting the Nets trade Kyrie for Westbrook and that it would make them better. I’m like do you even watch basketball, look at advanced stats at all, or just check box scores? That move would certainly tank any hope the Nets have. They’d probably struggle to even get out of the second round.

 

At this point the Wizards are finding ways to win despite this dude. Goodness...his Shaqtin a fool package is going to be epic this year.

I want to make a joke but I actually have respect for this.

 

westy's last 3 games, somehow all wins, he's:

19/56 from the field (33.9%)
0/7 from 3 (0%)
3/10 from the line (30%)
5.3 TO/gm

almost incomprehensibly bad shooting and incomprehensible that they won all the games.

going back 4 games it's 0/11 on 3's and 6/16 on ft's.

 

Don't know if he's still injured, but we may have lived the last good run this guy had in the NBA, does months here in Houston he was looking great.

This and his career also show that it may have been just a long lightning in a bottle.

 

Russ hasnt played well, but the roster is also awful. The one thing that gives them a chance is their pace which they are currently number 1. Quicker pace makes it easier to get looks for guys who cant create much for themselves. So while russ hasnt played as well as he is capable he is providing them something they desperately need. That roster is straight trash especially with bryant done for the year. I dont think ive ever seen worse defensive roster on paper.

 

it’s getting hard for me to hate on Russ too much at this point...he’s so scrubby now it’s almost like “enough, he’s already dead”

I can barely stomach watching Wizards game, he is unwatchable

when a guy has fallen off this much, I start feeling like I should just leave him alone...this is kinda how I felt with T-Mac once he became completely washed and irrelevant

 

It’s easy for me. So many people on this board tried to tell the few of us we were wrong about westbrick from day 1 and this dude was truly elite blah blah blah blah. Not many of them left but it’s still funny reading the handful still trying to hang around and make gimmick excuses

 

When we got him, my biggest worry was that his game would fall off a cliff in a year or two because his game was 90% dependent on athleticism and speed. We are seeing it happening. Fortunately we only had him for one year.

 

Apparently Westbrook needs to fake motivate himself like Jordan. Find one guy on each team to hate like he does KD and Lillard. Great game tonight for him.

Wiz on a 4 game winning streak. I don’t mind it, the more they win, teams will give up on Beal and look to us. We have 2 starting caliber shooting guards for sale.
