- Hader's streak is over -- sucks, but he gets the win. When he wins, Astros win. - Framber flirts with another no-no, AGAIN. The Astros awesome staff has a nice habit of that. Sucks Valdez didn't get it or the win, but the Astros won. - Stros will, at minimum, maintain their somewhat comfortable division lead (4 games). - Altuve continues to literally love walkoffs (Astros 6th of the season). - Cleveland wins again (Astros remain 4 games back). We probably need to sweep them in the season finale for any chance of a bye. Tall task, but at least we have a direct opportunity. - KC loses, obviously (Astros now only 1.5 games behind). - Tucker is getting closer and closer. Opponents beware. .
Nope, the only thing I care about with them at this point is hopefully they are competitive against the Mariners in those 7 games against them. DeGrom is going to be back so hopefully that will help.
he's a gifted athlete at the end of the day. i just wish astros play him more in the IF. if he continues to make plays where ever he plays, who am i to complain?
I sure hope Pena is just getting all this out of his system. Baseball is a 50/50 sport where games can turn on nothing but chance. It requires large sample sizes to seperate the cream. Realistically the Astros could very easily be on an 8-1 stretch against 3 great teams.
Yeah, THAT, and maybe they can sweep the Yankees (I know, a very farfetched proposition). Astros are in competition for the Top 2 record for division winner. I'm far more concerned about THAT than wack a** Seattluck catching the Dynasty.
the trade off this year is the number of successful jump throws Pena has made this season is probably the same number of errors lol
Look up some stuff, I'm no expert. What does all this tell you, and etc, and etc, and etc... https://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/majors/2024-specialpos_ss-fielding.shtml
...thats a solid move the Astros did w Simone, Jon, and the rest of the olympic competitors. I respect the hell outta all these guys... but players' stories with the likes of Jon Singleton, Mauricio Dubon-- just makes this team "BeHouston". Really appreciating what I see in the dynamic roster and all these 2nd half names showing up. This is a helluva roster-- all it takes is for these guys to all be pushing 120% at the same time in October-- if all their circadian rhythms / physical health / grit / hunger align at the same time this October, this team is unbeatable.
