    anything less that a sweep would be disappointing. We get 2 ex-Astros and should pound them. I'll be at Saturday's game to see if Taylor gets to keep his job. Nieve has been very good of late. The pressure is on.

    I suppose as long as there are teams in the league as bad as the Royals (and Pirates), there will always be someone willing to give never-was guys like Elarton and Duckworth money to pitch in the majors.

    Looking at the pitching matchups, this series concerns me. The Royals could easily take 2 out of 3.

    so if taylor pitches a shutout does he stay over nieve? i'm having a hard time deciding between the two but i think in the short term nieve would be filthy out of the pen. hard slider and a hard fastball for an inning or two.
