That's a great point. That's actually one of my favorite aspects of baseball season. On just about any given night, you know you will at least have baseball to watch.
Geez, I knew it looked pretty sparse, but I had no idea it was that bad. Usually the crowds are pretty decent at least through the first weekend regardless of how bad the team is.
The astros have players that have a strong desire to win. Altuve and Martinez NEVER give up. People might not know these guys now, but they win soon.
Much, much too early. This is baseball, you don't have a sufficient sample to even begin assessing a team until they've played like 50+ games.
Finally got to watch some baseball yesterday. I was impressed by the way the team played. Even Carlos Lee looks like he's no where near finished. Just maybe, he'll do enough to get someone to take the balance of his contract...unless, of course, they are in contention come July 31.
They looked really good on defense in Spring...the 4 error game on Friday I THINK is going to be an out of character loss. I wish they would have won that very winnable game, otherwise. Would be really nice to start 3-0.
I like the early (extremely early) trends...good starting pitching, patience at the plate, and timely hitting. The errors on Friday notwithstanding, it looked like a great weekend at MMP.
