    Very simple decision.

Mike Harris did not have a guarenteed contract. End of Story.

You don't cut guys with guarenteed contracts if you have some without. Keeping Mike Harris means he'll cost you HIS salary PLUS the salary of the other person you cut.

Say we sign Mike for 1mil but we cut JL3 instead (his salary is 1.5mil?). That means Mike Harris actually cost your 2.5 mil ...and he definately ain't worth that.

I am with you, we all know it was a feel good story, but realisticly he did not have a chance of making the team. He can play he just found himself in a numbers game.

You know you have a pretty good team when hard decisions like this have to be made, and the Front Office is not close to being finished.

A couple of years ago Mike Harris would have made the team, but we were a lottery team also.

Easy decision to make. He would have made the team a few years ago but he had no chance this year. Sorry. Good luck to him hopes he gets on with another team. So that leaves 3 left. Does anyone here really think Lucas III has anykind of a shot! That makes 2 left with your so many choices, I'll say Reed and Buttler. With Brooks, Novac and Synder starting the year on IR.

Snyder had a broken wrist which takes a long time to come back from.We all know about his defense, ability to crash the boards, and his athleticism. The guy can run the court too,but something that is being overlooked is that he's a pretty decent three point shooter when healthy.....and that's the last thing to come back.Snyder might not be in Novak's class, but when you toss in all his other attributes I say no way he goes anywhere.

Novak is next. He is too weak to play the PF position in NBA.

i think it was between the decision was between mike, snyder, and novak. both novak and snyder have guaranteed contracts and there is not enough of a talent disparity between them and mike to warrant the rox paying their money and his. I hope mike does good and gets his money on some other team out there. i think he will. had snyder and novak not had guaranteed money I would take harris over snyder simply because of how much better harris picked up the offense. novak has a skill neither of them posses. The rest of the players that will not make the team are:

    Lucas
    Snyder
    Reed

then you toss in that he is dumb as a rock, crazy and a possible team cancer and you realize why he has been on three teams.

The only stupid move by the Rockets this offseason. We will regret it.

    Watch and see.

Harris is going to get picked up by someone else. 2-3 years from now he will be playing big minutes and contributing somewhere else.

They should have held on to him for the future. Bonzi is gone after this season, Tmac could break in half at any time, Snyder is what he is and Francis may not even be in the league in 2 more years. This team will be lacking athleticism at the wing all over again in 2 years.

Yeah, but Snyder has low IQ for this game. You can tell he made bad decisions, like passing up a 3-pt shot even when the clock was running down (about 5-6 secs left), or taking the ball to the hole with defenders even though it would have been better to pass. In fact, you will see that Snyder almost never pass if he already decided to shoot - really no court vision. Again, it is not about athletism, but it is about decision making and heart.

That said, can't say Novak is better than Snyder either :(

Make it 4 if you desire.Worst case scenario Snyder is part of a larger deal for a solid piece.

He was what the 16th pick that year? The guy was impacting games early on before he went down.I'd like to see what he can do in our offense under RA.Forgetting that he's also a good defensive player....There's upside here.I'd expect the Rockets would at least improve Kirk's valueand benefit on the court too.If Snyder stays he gets some play.

Can Dr. Frankenstein take Mike Harris' brain and put it into Snyder's body?
