I'm obsessed with Jalen Green (and a Houston resident who loves the Rockets) so I can promise I've done my research. His mom has said in multiple interviews that Jalen is 1/8th Filipino but maybe she is bad at math?

His mom is half filipino because her dad was a full blooded Filipino.

    He's 1/4th then lol.

Well came in to read the latest on Greenie and instead read "he who shall remain nameless" trying to mess with Cod. Appreciate all of my brothers (and some sisters) sticking up for decency. "Don't Mess with Texas or Cod!"

Guys like Cod are what makes CF such a remarkable place to hang out and talk hoops. Let's respect our legends and all members for that matter. Disagreement and debate are fine, but derogatory comments should be left to gas station bathrooms.

Now, back to Green, I'm not loving "0", but I would love if he would go with "44"! He likes the old school shorts, bring back an ol' school number.

LaVine put up 27, 5 & 5 on 50/42/85 splits this year... an all-star, dunk champ, and soon to be gold medalist. There ain't much to take personally about that comp lol

I think it’s more about LaVine, and that until he’s part of a winning team, is really just filling a stat sheet. A respectable one, but it’s just that right now. It’s the championships associated to Kobe that makes you hope Green becomes the latter.

Lol I'm mostly just having some good old fashioned fun around here. Lavine is dope. He's easily been the third best player for team USA this year behind KD and Jrue. However I do think/pray/hope that JG turns out better than Zach.

Most scouts make the Lavine comp but also note Green is well well ahead of where Lavine was at the same age. I would say Lavine is his floor, Booker and Beal are probably his most likely ceiling BUT if he really has that Kobe/MJ gene then he could very well end up being a legendary player.

Y'all are all knockin on lavine when his roster was abysmal the past couple seasons. He's 26 and spent some time getting strong again after his horrific injury. Kid has balls and is a hell of a baller.
If green is zach lavine without injuries then I'll be very happy. Green seems to have a drive and work ethic that I feel will easily help him surpass everyone's expectations. He's going to put up buckets. He's going to put up buckets for OUR team. So if people want to continue to take a huge dump on him I'm sure the Evan Mobley fan club on the Cleveland board will be very happy to take y'all.
We have been spoiled to have guys like Hakeem and Harden who were just unstoppable in their prime. This is why people and our owner/management need to learn to appreciate having the talent they have and when they have them and not take it for granted. We had easily one of the greatest offensive players on our roster for the past few seasons yet we couldn't fill up his roster to win a championship because both owners were too cheap. Fertitta better not make the same mistake with the guys we have now when that window appears. A man who is in the gambling business yet is too afraid to roll the dice when he has an MVP another hall of famer and 65 win team in front of his face handed to him on a Gold Platter worth 2.2 billion.
