Yeaaaah. You called it! So many biased reports in not only the last week but the last month. Now, I realize why Woj is the best. He may not be first but its always reliable. And I must say the collective wisdom of Clutch Fans worked out how this was all possible and even likely weeks ago. Props to Old Man Rock, Aleron, Bima and the numerous cap experts on here that called it correctly. DWIGHT2HOUSTON campaign officially declared a success! Party time!
Such great news that we are getting Dwight. While I have always supported us getting Josh Smith, with or without Dwight, I think bringing him in now puts the Rockets in prime championship contention for the next 3-4 years at least. I think all the flaws in his game will be minimized now that he would most likely be the 3rd or 4th option with no pressure to be "The Man" on a Hawks team going nowhere. I think we can improve his shot selection tremendously simply by surrounding him with the most capable lineup he has ever been a part of. His defense is elite, his rebounding is great and he does have range. I bet a ton of $ that his shooting percentage goes up, from 2, from 3 and from the FT line once he fine tunes his game and settles into his role here. I believe his shot selection and all his numbers will go up simply by finally be allowed to play to his strengths instead of trying to do way too much as he always has in Atlanta. If he stops forcing things, I think his immense potential can finally be fully realized. I think Smith joining us now would put us in the top 2 spots in the West and a very capable challenger to the perennial West powers as well as finally a team that would consistently scare the Heat when they inevitably come out of the East.
