It's just my pet name for Brooks seeing as how TP's name is being used to describe his game. BTW, he's supposedly 5-9 or so and not 5-10/5-11 since the NBA measures guys in shoes which add 2" to their height. As you can see from my posts, I have become somewhat amused at their drafting of undersized players.
FYI- Paul measured 5 11.75 w/o shoes, 178lbs, 6'425 span, 7'9 reach. Felton was at 5 11.5 w/o shoes, 199, 6'4.25, 8'2 Brooks was at 5 10.5 w/o shoes, 161, 6'4, 7'10. Not huge differences, particularly with Paul.
I would say Ford is a pretty good comparison except I think Brooks is a much better shooter and scorer. I don't know how good of a passer Brooks is, that's my major concern.
has anyone ever see brooke dunked? Chris Paul could, Raymond Felton did a monster dunk in his rookie year too. and I personally watched TJ ford playing in a training/charity game in Canada and he was playing 360 alley oops dunk to himself...amazing atheleticism! I hope our Brooke could do it too!
I don't know where the video I watched was (sorry), but it had Oregon even running a couple oops to Brooks so he can definitely dunk it. I don't know how consistently or easily he can with defense but I guess we'll all find out.
Oh great, now everybody's hyping up our rookies to the standard of 'starter material' and even Brookes to Chris Paul, who knows, maybe a nickname thread against, but for Landry this time? Damn, I won't be surprised if the rookies will be disappointing next season.
Wow! So far Brooks has been compared to Calvin Murphy, TJ Ford, Tony Parker, Earl Boykins and now Chris Paul. I'm still waiting for someone to evoke the name of Nate "Tiny" Archibald. If he can keep this up, the kid is a lock for the Hall Of Fame...
