And thats not including the first round picks that we are offering. Ok, Im not sure about this anymore.
If true, then only Motiejunas would be left. But I think this is just "sources" speculating on how the salary cap math would work if Asik's offer is not matched.
Same here homie. I think it might be too much. Who will we surround him with? We've sent all of our promising peeps.
A long time poster just said that the larry guys was playing with everybody, just forget about it. Don't buy into to anybody except the major names saying the deal is done, besides that i won't believe ****.
At least Scola can now go to a place where he´s valued and won´t have to worry about 6 power forwards trying to take his place.
Not only will we have sent all of our promising young players, but we also wont have any draft picks to gain promising young players. This has gotten out of hand. Morey is on full tilt trying to get the big shark and Im afraid he's not realizing how much talent he is giving away. That comes out to 5 young NBA players that were first round picks, 2 possible future lottery picks, and Chandler Parsons, stud in the making.
I honestly don't believe that source. Not unless the Rockets have absolute 100% guarantee that Howard stays. Or that they're not giving away the Toronto pick. That trade would leave us with nothing to further upgrade our roster. Also, if that trade was offered to Orlando already, I can't imagine it would take this long to complete this deal.
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8...e-proposal-orlando-magic-center-dwight-howard Um wow. I think it's pretty safe to say we're sick of 3 straight years of drafting #14. So sick that the entire team is being shipped out. Too bad this includes Parsons and the 3 we just drafted. At least Motiejunas isn't involved in these talks (yet).
seriously, for a 1 year rental.. 82 games...for 82 games? Dwight is such a child, he won't care about 4 year 65 mil or 5 year 100 mil...
Is Morey out of his mind? Is this what MIT does to you??? or is it Les that wants a superstar so he could sell the franchise..
I'm not believing that ESPN article as the real deal. There is no way in hell we are giving up THAT much for Howard. This would set a precedent never before seen in terms of what a team is willing to give to attain a star. No way we give up ALL of our young players AND picks, as well as taking on ALL of those bad contracts. We'd basically be destroying any chance we had at surrounding Dwight with any semblance of talent. Guys, Morey has done a masterful job of getting us to this point.....let's wait until the actual trade goes through to see what the deal ends up being. Morey knows as much as anyone that one man doesn't get you a title....it takes a team. He's not going to set up Dwight to fail here.
We would either have to take back something equal to the money or trade him to a team that can just absorb his contract, but those teams won't want an aging PF. Everyone here has been wanting a Superstar and now that we can get one people rage. Lighten up
