Chris White/ David Locke said all that to say what? It's not about money for Harden, you can't just "pay him" to keep him. You can't "hold on to your talent" if they want to leave because they don't feel you have a contending team. (To be honest, I actually do think we contend as currently constructed.)

Yes, managing a franchise is hard, but I don't call a team with Wall, Wood, EG, Cousins, Tucker, House (and whatever young star you get in return in a trade) "rebuilding". We're not the darn Kings, Magic, Hornets, Knicks or the laundry list of other teams in true "rebuild" mode.

...the way some ppl defend Harden on this board, you'd think he had 3 chips to go along with his individual accomplishments. We haven't won anything in 8 years and he now wants out. So, guess what, you RETOOL with the right package in return (which I think we'll get) and have at it.

Weak take. This team, as currently constructed (without even including Harden), runs laps around those Rocket squads.

doubt it.. christian wood has been on 6 teams already in his career, and led detriot nowhere last year. That pistons team had derrick rose( who is similar in some ways to john wall). Andre drummond and blake griffin. Those are legit big men, and they couldnt bust a grape in the east

without harden you will find out fast how bad this team sucks

Andre Drummond was traded and Blake griffin was injured which gave Wood the opportunity to earn the contract we gave him.

Not going to debate how good he’ll be; I’ll let it happen and revisit this post at the end of season.

your other takes are also very weak.

Just let this thing play out before we continuously post hypotheticals on how bad of a “rebuilding”team we’ll be post harden.

Hey if you can’t handle a debate or differing opinions don’t post (or repost articles/tweets) on here.

...and watch your mouth. Don’t be a child and call me out of my name because you don’t agree with what I say. Not here for all that.

Retooling is basically what we been doing with Harden, switching out players for best optimal chance every season to win. Hes the fking engine of the team. Trading harden is practically resetting the team aka changing the culture.

U r delusional if u think replacing harden with a young prospect = better or similar chance of winning it all.
Since it's not a better chance, tilman/stone is going to shred contacts for assets to fasten the rebuilding process.

We haven't rebuild in years, but it will happen under cheap ass tilman.

Like logically y waste money on retooling a if u can't beat the Lakers.

Ooooh threw a ball at a rookie (and predictably missed like on one of his 5-20 shooting nights)! Big bad tough James Harden! :D

    James Harden is soft. S-O-F-T

Bet he wouldn’t throw a ball at DeMarcus Cousins.

Of course this is the same guy who blamed Austin Rivers for a missed free throw. LOLOLOL

Go get your signs and beg for this guy to stay LOLOL

Not saying your take is wrong it just can’t be proven until it actually happens. We’re debating hypotheticals. I on the contrary think with the right young star in return (and a healthy squad) our chemistry can take us on the same runs we’ve had in the past (with Harden).

I guess u are more optimistic than I. Which of the trade targets u heard so far that will make your scenario likely or do u think it will take longer via draft picks

Sounds like you are the one bending ass backwards to support your weak ass take.

You must be too young to remember the 15 years prior to Harden.

Those teams had as much talent or better than a Harden-less Rockets.

    Lowry
    Dragic
    Scola
    Landry
    Parsons
    Chuck Hayes
    Courtney Lee
    Kevin Martin
    Aaron Brooks

And I remember having a ton of picks during that period too.

That's Love You Blue (Columbia) it's iconic in Houston from the Oilers.

It's a great alt jersey specifically for Houston, its dope AF, a genius idea for real Houstonians.

God I miss the Oilers, why the **** did they not just bring back that name, the ****ing Texans.
