So who is going to be our new low post threat on offense now that Scola is gone? And please, no one say Patterson. Motiejunas has some low post moves, but he really prefers playing away from the basket. Does Terrence Jones have a low post game?
Any word on how Morris is doing? No mention of him in any of the tweets or interviews. In the brief scrimmage videos, he seems to be playing decent (hit a 3 in one of them).
i really dont think rockets have anyone low post player.... hopefully, ppat/tj/mmorris will develope some post move
Oops. Nah, that was my fault. Must have taken a bit long to post it. CLUTCH - can you delete my post please?
I think the Rockets will lead the league in three pointers taken this year. Martin, Delfino, Lamb, Lin, and Parsons are all going to be shooting the three. A few other guys will be jacking up threes also.
Lamb finally tweets!!!! <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>“@<a href="https://twitter.com/ju_smith4">ju_smith4</a>: This dude @<a href="https://twitter.com/jlamb">jlamb</a> has no bounce. <a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23TRU">#TRU</a>"” watch yo mouth bra</p>— J Lamb (@jlamb) <a href="https://twitter.com/jlamb/status/254412427574259712" data-datetime="2012-10-06T02:47:04+00:00">October 6, 2012</a></blockquote>

When you have a roster full of ball handlers who not only can pass but also penetrate, causing defense to cave in and play help defense, you dont need much of post game. Quickness will cause hovac on opposition defense, Rockets is becoming a positionless team. It's a lot easier to defend post plays than quickness. Spurs got away from dump-it-to-Duncan post game two years ago, and they are doing very well ever since.
a shout out thanks to realgm poster http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1207020&sid=07085589e8d4bd2e228b0bacb3275359 http://www.utpabroncs.com/mobile/index.aspx?story=5340 hope that thread ends well
I think Greg Smith is history. Just don't see any improvement in his game. Nice kid and all. But no serious lift, slow-footed, no discernable improvement on either end of the floor. I think he's gone. With that said, looks like PPat or Donuts is going to get the backup 5 minutes.
Funny that you know the answer to your question, but don't like the answer. I see Patterson and Motiejunas as the guys posting up. Motiejunas will be used a lot in the post, imo. I think the Rockets will try to limit his hanging out at three point line unless he improves his shot.
[Dreamshake] Final impressions of camp + interviews Didn't see this posted before and the writer was actually there so this is not some bs article. http://www.thedreamshake.com/2012/10/8/3475542/final-impressions-from-rockets-camp-in-the-rio-grande-valley Some interesting bits: I like D-Mo's humour, let's hope the broadcasting team will honour the man's wishes and not call him Donuts or come up with something worse!
