Oh sure! Ameachi is definately intelligent, articulate, educated, and well rounded. He's also loyal, has integrity, and he's even a genuinely nice guy. What he's NOT is a servicable NBA Center, someone who cares enough about the game of basketball to really prepare himself for it, or an athlete. This guy is in bad shape, and always has been. That is why Sloan was always so pissed at him. He can't stand fat asses. Why do you think Utah told Antoine Carr to go away. He showed up to camp one year at 310. Houston loves taking Jazz rejects. Neither Carr or Shandon Anderson worked out for you, and neither will John Ameachi. Some of you do have it right though. Jim Jackson is a good addition, and that may be enough to make the trade good for Houston. Still, you guys did Utah a favor, and that has to sting a little.
One more thing. Now that Utah has used Houston's money to pay off Rice's contract, and Rice is a free agent, do you think Houston will pursue him again? Or do you think Rice will feel the sting of being traded and tell Houston to f' off?
