Holy F. What the F is wrong with Baker. Is this reverse racism or something. The only Black American on the roster?
It's as good of a reason to have Julks playing ANYWHERE as often as he does Best explanation -- Dusty is quirky AF Chas is sitting after getting 2 hits in a struggling offense
5 for 12 with a bomb in our last three games Team is struggling mightily for offense, so sit your ass down dusty says
Dusty has become a troll. The more people complain about his rosters and decisions, the more he screws it. The Cincinnati announcers said he is a hunch manager. In other words, he just guesses. He got away with it last year, because of one of the greatest pitching staff in the history of MLB. This year when he has a challenge, he is failing miserably. He needs to be fired immediately, but of course Crane won’t have the guts for that.
This line up has no stability. Guys can't find their grooves because they're sat after well-hitting games. Chas in the guy today. No wonder this offense is sputtering. Click might've tried keeping Dusty in check the best he could while he was here but now Dusty has no one to over see him. Dana Brown is too new and green as a GM.
This is probably Dusty's last year as manager. He's playing the team he wants most games. I'm not sure the qualities Dusty looks for in players that aren't all-stars other than stronger arms.
This is either going to go one of two ways. Either Julks has an awesome game or he will be the last out with a crucial run on base.
This team does not have enough offensive talent right now for this Dusty nonsense. Chaz has the second highest available OPS on the team and he's a part time player. Meanwhile Julks has sustained a sub .600 OPS for almost 2 months continues to get more time, it's f**king absurd. Dusty just has to have 2 terrible bats in the lineup, no matter what he will make sure it happens.
At this point, let's just punt the rest of the season so that we can get rid of Dusty in the offseason and hopefully bring in a competent manager. At one point the team was talented enough to make up for having Dusty's sabotage.....the ONLY team in MLB history to be talented enough to do that, but with all the injuries, they just can't anymore. With their guys back healthy and a competent manager next season, they'll be ready to make another run at that point. Edit: To be clear, I don't mean "tank", I'm just saying that we should all adjust our expectations to the current reality.
Pretty much my assessment as well. Julks shouldn't be getting this many starts and should definitely not be batting in the top half of the lineup. Altuve/Bregman/Tucker/Abreu have to carry this team... they haven't in the games they've lost since Yordan has been out. Dusty is playing everybody else wherever the hell he wants because he presumes at least one-two of those other 4 will have a good game almost every night. Still want to know why Diaz is so terrible against lefties. Seems to further the need to get a bat for that specific matchup.
