I can't recall a lineup (not saying that they don't exist) where SO MANY regular players were hitting below .240. It's pathetic. I'm not saying that Berry is totally at fault, but we need a shake up, and someone else couldn't do any worse
Not to over simplify, this is a team with 2 position players playing at-or- above their expected ability---Lee and Pence. Hard to win any team sport win 22% of your offensive players are playing well and the rest......are not. Some guys have slumped and some guys are showing us that they are just not that good. Unless we get ANY other guys contributing, it really doesn't matter. At this point there aren't enough fingers on both hands to point to all the guilty parties.
WOW the Reds actually won... again! That's the first 3 game "win streak" since the first week of April. (I live in Cincinnati) The National "Comedy" Central is truly sad isn't it.
no kidding...we should be 15 games out with the way we've been playing. you look up and can't believe we're as close as we are.
When will the bleeding stop...Although, even on a 10 game slide, we're only 7.5 games out..There is still hope...
We also are the ONLY team in the NL Central with a winning record against either the east or the west. We're 3-2 against the NL East right now. Woohoo!
Heh wasn't the record I was looking forward too this year Go Stro's you can do it.. .Give us that new History record for consecutive losses.
OK, all that is needed is to change 2005 to 2007 and then change Pistons win to take series lead (assuming of course that the Pistons beat the Cavs tonight).
I think we need individual player tombstones. Carlos Lee, Hunter Pence, Lance Berkman (gets a "Get out of tombstone free" card), and Roy Oswalt can be pallbearers for the funerals.
berkman should be the first one with his own tombstone... his numbers this year for him are atrocious. their worse than everetts
