BS call - pickoff. At least they're finding new & inventive ways of stranding baserunners.

Exactly: pitching to contact. That's the reason he added the changeup this season.

This probably goes without saying for Roy, but I'm imagining you have to be a pretty ****ing talented pitcher to decide one offseason that you should change up your style, and to have a virtually seamless transition to the new one.

i've never thought of roy as a big strike-out pitcher. certainly he has the stuff to get more k's but i'd rather get a one pitch pop-up.

tons and tons of strikeouts and few wins or fewer strikeouts, better control, and more wins?

the answer? tons and tons of strikeouts. :)

whenever roy pitches, the one thing that always jumps out is his abnormally large cup. either hes blessed, or just trying to intimidate the opposing batter.

it's too bad Roy can't pitch every day.

Switched over just in time. :)

Didn't realize that 10 (now 12?) of Scott's rbis are against left-handers ... did i read that right?

Must've been a plot by Qualls to get another W. I just don't get the whole wins/losses system, especially for relievers. Qualls basically comes in and screws up Wandy's game, and then gets rewarded with the W. Hell, just give it to Wheeler, or let Wandy have it since the 8th inning basically canceled itself out.

Funny how when Wandy sucks, the team picks up the slack and gets him wins...and then when he actually pitches good, he gets no support.

Finally, a freakin streak...Albeit 2 games, but who cares...

I think the Stros' are poised for a run...April was horrendous and May should be better...We have the bats, so lets start using them...

At least I won Pappasitos next time my friend comes to town, so I'm happy about that...Whent he stros' are in a rut, thank god for the Reds...
