After all of Albers troubles, its an ERROR on Lamb (on a tough hop, but still a play should be made)... When it rains, it pours... we're either not hitting, or not pitching, or not fielding.
Had to see this one coming...with the guys talking so much about the quality starts the team has been getting.
HAHAHAHA!!! That's a good one. I'm giving up. You heard it here first. If they come back this year, & make something of it, post this everywhere. I don't care. I'm not worried though. Because this team SUCKS!!!
My Astros Lineup 3B-Mark Loretta 1B-Mike Lamb LF-Carlos Lee RF-Lance Berkman CF-Hunter Pence 2B-Craig Biggio C-Brad Ausmus SS-Adam Everett
Biggio is only playing for 3,000 hits... otherwise he'd likely be retired. Berkman, Oswalt, and Lee have been well taken care of... they're in the prime of their careers, aren't going anywhere any time soon, and should be producing at a high level for at least another 3-4 years. The rest of the team are either average-paid veterans, or low-priced kids. Basically, what I'm trying to say is... there is ZERO sense of urgency to win now... no pressure from a Bagwell, no pressure from a Kent, no aura of a Clemens, and no veteran moxie of a Pettite. But Carlos Lee should call more players-only meetings... seriously, he should.
After Berkman and Lee start hitting like they're supposed to, I guess. But right now, I'm still more worried about the pitching, long-term. Is Jennings about to make any rehab starts any time soon?
