Everett's failure to field that grounder by Clayton cleanly can't be scored as an error, but he's directly responsible for that 2nd run scoring if Clemens can't weave some magic here.
It's actually spelled Purpura, and he very recently made a trade for a player named Aubrey Huff, a historically very good hitter. It is not Purpura's fault that the players we have are not hitting. Furthermore, he KNOWS that the players we have are not hitting, and he's trying to get new ones who CAN hit, as evidenced by the Huff trade, the Tejada speculation, the (possibly desperation) Scott call-up...
yea I know how to spell his name.....And yea he is to blame. He's had 2 seasons to put a decent lineup together and has failed ridiculously at it. Thats pathetic..Lamb didn't even try to hold Phillips at 3rd and he easily scored. That just goes to show you that this team just SUCKS !!!! They can't even play fundamental baseball.....When can we start a Fire Garner Thread ? Just Kidding I don't want to get killed on this board
