What a huge win ... They absolutely had to have this game. Hopefully winning the way they did will propel them to a nice win streak.

Read back a few posts ARF I said it yesterday and today..Qualls can be the closer and we can trade Lidge for that big bat we need. I think his stock is still decent but the stros need to move fast. I can't believe the people on this board taking up for Lidge..He has sucked this year...Get rid of him...

Unbelievable game tonight. Went with a couple of close co-workers. That first Berkman homer was just amazing. It was just a great fun game.

If he sucks so bad, why do you think he has much value to acquire a bat?

Saying someone sucks and then trying to trading them for good players seems to be a common theme here, both with the Rockets and Astros. If the player sucks, he has no value. If he doesn't, why do you dislike him so much?

If you want a bat, be prepared to give up something of value.

The Astros' bullpen hasn't allowed a run in 20 1/3 innings, its longest scoreless streak of the season.

Two years the turning point in the season was when Wheeler came in and hit that Chicago Cub.

Last year...I honestly can't remember one single moment that started the ball rolling.

I can honestly say that this game and Puma's herotics can be the turning point this season.

Time will tell...but I could be!

man and i thought i was the only one that remembered that.

wheeler drilling Lee with the fastball, was one of those moments that made me damn proud of not only Wheeler but of this team.

Yep it was, and he was ejected because of it.

I was a fan of him from that pitch on.

Holy crap! Berkman has 92 RBIs, good for #2 in MLB! (The next highest is Wilson with 52.) Imagine if we weren't 25th in the league in OBP, 28th in BA, 27th in hits, 29th in SLG, and 28th in OPS. It's possible Berkman could have had a shot at Hack Wilson's record.

This doesn't sound like a guy who is still loving the game (playing it).

"It's another pathetic outing by me," he said. "Praise these guys, praise the hitters, praise the bullpen and bury me. When I'm in there, I ain't getting nobody out, and it's like batting practice.

You mean, like if he had Manny 'protecting' him (like Big Popi)? LA has done this with a pop gun attack (sic) surrounding him. It's remarkable he's not on a pace for 300 walks!

Last year it started in Milwaukee when the pitchers waited until after the first to head out to the bullpen.

Yes, and I made a false assumption is that Biggio looks tired so now I am the perpetual ass in assumption. I love it when he proves me wrong. I love him period. I love all our Killer Bs. Tonight I will be nervous for Buchholz because he just seems so nervous all the time and he is such a great rookie pitcher I want him to shine. Berkman was just plain sick last night. I also have to retract every bad thing I have said about umpire C. B. Buckner the past year or so. This seried he has actually been accurate in his calls, be it for or against us. I still think they need to go to a umpire continuing education class every winter.
