Dusty or Brantley? I think they need to put a gag order on any Dusty quotes that involve medical decisions from here on out. The trainers are obviously involved, but somehow they're using him as the mouthpiece and he's not really making sense. I'd rather hear anything from them... or nothing at all.
Well he fired the last guy who not only had issues with the manager but a lot of the front office staff/scouts in general... so he will step in when the situation is not a right fit.

I don't know about fit, but some would say that a GM that has no control over the head coach is a situation in need of revision.
Most GM's don't dictate lineups... but if they want to, they ensure the roster is constructed in a certain way. Brown didn't have to have Julks come back up to the big league... he chose to. He chose to bring Singleton up. Maybe they are on the same page. Maybe they both want these guys to get reps? I'm just saying that there is a way the GM can control who he wants on the roster if he truly doesn't want guys to be in the lineup.
Dusty just wants to be cautious - Brantley has only been out 14 months, don't want to rush him back and possibly get injured.

Explain to me how playing in Sugar Land is "safer" than Houston is baseball terms... Sugar Land being a top 10 safest place in the country does not affect what's on the field.
This - he only gets involved if the manager and the front office cannot work out their disagreements. It is pretty clear, on the day to day stuff that Crane doesn't want to get involved. Since Luhnow was let go, Crane has paid really close attention to his ball club, he looks over the scouting reports, the advanced numbers and supposedly wants to be carbon copied on any emails concerning player moves, timings, etc..... but I think that is probably because of the scandal. Crane knows what goes on - but he just watches a lot of it.
I am just waiting for Dusty to pull the ultimate troll job and have Martin Maldonado DH while Tucker sits.
