Will this team ever get over the hump? Every time this team stares at the division lead in front of them, they blink. Literally every time it's been right there for the taking.
We have lost too many games this year based of Dusty’s ‘hunches’ instead of just plain common sense. Might be the difference between playoffs or not in the end.
This game was kinda expected really. We've been in this position multiple times already this season, and never managed to get it right.
Anyone with a brain knows it shoulda been Meyers then Dubon. Not Dubon then Julks. Dusty does not help us win games.
Oh he is getting fired if we don’t win it all. Either that or he will retire. It was smart to hire Dana Brown if Crane ends up firing Dusty.
Dana Brown should have traded Julks so Dusty couldn’t play him. Now we will get to see Maldonado, Dubon, Julks get playing time. Baker sent Dubon out there against a righty when he his OPS is 150 points lower against righties… Brown and Dusty have been doing some stupid ****. Brown knows if Julks is called up, Baker will use him… he also has Michael Brantley he can call up. Dusty apparently thinks the Astros are up a dozen in the standings apparently because he just experiments endlessly and numbers are an after thought. I have a lot of respect for Dusty Baker but sometimes he needs to listen to his GM. I just cannot wait for Citron to become the manager. Yeah he is tight with Maldonado but he also understands the importance of probability
No idea. Dusty gets to set the day to day line ups in the regular season. At some point if it gets bad enough, Verlander will say something - he has before.
The Mariners 3 game series against the White Sox, or 27 Innings gave up a total 3 Walks, let me repeast 3 Walks between SPs and RPs. Urquidy in this game gave up 3 walks in 4 Innings. So, we are fooling ourselves, if we win games giving that many passes. Do your job pitching coach.
