If you want a larger sample size, take a look at Singleton's career numbers. His career OPS+ is 69 which is below Maldy's 2023 OPS+ of 70. Guys who are 31 don't typically figure out how to hit MLB pitching all of sudden after being out of the league. He's also not exactly a gold glover out there or great out digging out bad throws. He was worth a shot, and I was rooting for him. However, the stat's say he's been a less competent MLB player his entire career than Maldy this year.
If you’re not going to give me 6+ 3 runs or less then I don’t want to hear about them requesting Maldy because this team needs the best offense it can throw out there.
Thats all just Dusty/Astros front office mumbo jumbo. Remember Astros social media team deleting a tweet complimenting Diaz before Dusty had an interview praising Maldy. Its all coordinated.
Boston is helping us out. If we don’t come out with more than a run this inning then I’ve lost all hope
Guess Yordan’s power not returning until September Damn near all his flyballs leave the park. SF is better than nothing though
