    The Astros analytic staff probably has had a chance to work with Smith yet. Give it some time.

    Will Smith gave up 3 really hard hits - one for HR, one at the wall, and one that Dubon had to make a huge defensive play on. Eek

    Good to see the offense show up and Meyers not in the lineup.

    Nearly half the staff laughs at JV's inadequacy

    The staff will need more time to help him and hopefully we can get something good out of him. Either way still not a bad trade for flexibility, possible upside and moving a SP who had no where to be here and was pouty.

    Still not happy we lost the season series 4-2 to these guys.

    Better than 5-1.

    Nice win!

    Better, but more improvement coming hopefully. The new catcher has been hitless, but Mancini came through. Is Tucker back?

    This is what Urquidy has done over the past 9 games:

    BOS 7.0 IP 2 H 0 R
    SEA 6.2 IP 4 H 2 R
    @SEA 6.0 IP 4 H 1 R
    OAK 6.1 IP 6 H 3 R
    @OAK 8.0 4 H 3 R
    LAA 6.0 2 H 1 R
    @NYY 7.0 1 H 1 R
    NYM 6.0 4 H 1 R
    TEX 6.0 5 H 3 R

    Dude is in a groove, he's young, controlled for THREE more yrs, playoff tested, can come out of the pen, and people were wanting to trade him????

    A friend at work is a huge Braves fan. He laughed that we got him and gave me a "good luck with that one". But yeah I hope we can get him the right help to make use of him.

    He certainly has made an adjustment with the assistance of the pitching coaches. I believe he was getting a little predictable with his pitching sequence, and we know he loves throwing strikes, so that was possibly to blame for some of his early struggles.

    He was always considered as the most polished of the 4 young guys (Framber included), but has since been relegated to #3 or #4 as the others have their own improvements to showcase.

    A GREAT problem to have.

    Today was a good example of why I prefer Vazquez. He puts the ball in play with solid contact. Maldy is too much a risk with his strikeouts in the playoffs with guys in scoring position.

    Really hoping we can get a

    Altuve
    Brantley
    Bregman
    Alvarez
    Mancini
    Tucker
    Pena
    Gurriel
    Vazquez

    Should be your playoff game 1.
