There are only 22 pitchers averaging 6 innings this year. Outside of Greinke, you shouldn't be counting on 6 innings from an Astros pitcher. For Garcia, he's been giving an average number of innings per start while being well above average in run prevention. Edit: To me, the big question is whether his run prevention skills are legit. The Astros have 4 very interesting pitchers in Garcia, Valdez, Javier, and Urquidy.
I have an advantage. I can't see the swing because it's too fast. It's the same reason I can't enjoy a live game anymore. I hear the bat, but can't follow the ball. The last live game I attended was against the Orioles and they were really good at the time.
Best news in a while. I hope Yordan comes back with a clean mental slate as well... as he was slumping prior to the wrist issue. Having Taylor Jones in the lineup the past few games made me miss Yuli THAT much more. Yuli’s defense at 1B doesn’t seem to get the attention he deserves. Happy to have two of the big dawgs back. Now we just need uncle mike and Lance back.
Best news in a while indeed. Glad to have them back. Hopefully Yordan's wrist has recovered from striking out so much. Brantley is out with hamstring deal right?
The glass half empty people are saying we are just a 1/2 game out. The glass half full people are having sex.
It's a combination of poor eyesight from my youth, long term consequences of 80s RK corrective surgery (8 independent focal points in each eye), typical diabetes related eye issues (unstable correction - eyes change with blood sugar levels) and cataracts. Only the last is fairly easy to resolve. Even with the best correction, it's like looking through a broken glass. That's why my 52" TV is my monitor.
I was just looking at your comment and thinking, maybe what's wrong was they thought they were doing Bull Pins and didn't want to get stuck.
Other than Maldy, who has reverted back to bad Maldy over the last 7 days, is his usual bad, but everyone else is up, especially Correa who has a 1.532 OPS over this time period. Yordon and Yuli were both struggling before their recent time off. If they can come out of the gates producing, get out your brooms.
I would swap Maldy and Straw on the off chance Straw reaches base and the lineup turns over. I'd rather have Straw in front of Altuve than than Maldy.
Yuli has become a defensive asset. But Tucker has also become a defensive Asset in RF. Like Straw, he excels at coverage on the field and not so much having a strong arm. It's like Bagwell learning 1B and Biggio learning 2B and becoming excellent defenders at their new positions.
Does anyone else, when they see a players name, make it into something else? Like today. I see Verdugo, and in my mind its Vertigo. Maybe I need to check my meds
