Talk about the series here. Please no PBP in this thread. Unless otherwise noted all games are on CSN-H (for about 40% I guess).

7-11 John Lackey, RHP vs. Scott Feldman, RHP 7:10

7-12 Jake Peavy, RHP vs. TBA 3:10

7-13 Clay Buchholz, RHP vs. TBA 1:10

Hopefully, the Stros can change my focus back to something positive after the horrendous day on the other side of the forum.

Amazing how this lineup just seems so empty when Springer is out.

well... feldman is looking about as good as this whole offseason. 70 pitches in 3 innings. we can not help our bullpen in the least bit.

For a team that is supposed to have trouble scoring...

Sliding into first base slows you down, Marwin.

There is seriously no middle ground when Chris Carter on a streak, whether hot or cold.

No. There was not going to be a tag play. I know it is instinctual, but players ought to run through the bag. I asked Larry Dierker once about sliding into first. He said the only sort of reasonable explanation he ever got from a player was that he thought his stride was off and he'd plant in front of the bag and he thought it would be quicker to slide than to adjust his stride.

Same hitter. Has a lot of really bad at bats where he doesn't come close to making contact, but then gets on a streak where he is making pitchers pay for their mistakes.
