The term "true ace" gets overused sometimes. The league only has 15 at any given time. General criteria for me is 1) an ERA ~40% lower than league average 2) 7 IP in 50% of games and 3) consistent health. Javier needs to manage his PC before he's a true ace or an ace. Happy he had good progress yesterday and hope it continues.
4 for 11 since being moved back there this week But whatever How y’all’s boy mcclanahan doing 5 for 16
Best possible lineup we have with the current roster The guys who recognize balls and strikes well should have good results vs Bradley
Would rather Yordan play the field in Framber starts… or at least the starts where he isn’t’ all over the place and serving up dingers. Brown has found some penchant for inducing ground balls lately…. More out of the stretch than in the windup.
At this point, I could careless if Pena leads off, hits clean up, 3-hole, 8-hole or hits last as long as MM isn't in the lineup-- and we're putting our BEST batting avg lineup out there on the field. (though I would like to see BOTH MM & Abreu out of the lineup at the same time for a statistic-proving "x"-number of games... since everything else is always an experiment, day-to-day.)
Just like Kid Rock in the Astros walk off vs Rangers. Julks is just not a good defender. Chas should have been in LF w/ Meyers in CF vs the lefty yesterday. Especially with Javier starting. But Dusty. . .
I am excited about this game. I will get to see it live. Normally, I follow on Yahoo sports. I like the line up for tonight. Hope our guys give it all they have. It is time to start thinking about and tuning up for the "home stretch" into October.
