Hopefully he doesn't rest regulars anymore. We will have 6 days off after our final regular season game, that can be a bit worrisome on it's own

 

He has said as much about playing regulars for the integrity of the game, but who are his regulars and what does he do as teams we are playing are eliminated?

 

I'm waiting on the line-up. Dusty has been pretty good about posting them in a timely manner in the last few weeks.

 

We didn't score 10+ runs last game, so I'm hopeful.

 

I’d rather face Mariners/Rays then Jays but play the hand that’s dealt.

 

I haven't looked around for reasons, or really thought about it much, but to me not reseeding after the WC round doesn't make sense, especially if MLB is trying to keep the regular season as meaningful as possible.

And I'm talking in general, not because of any potential Astros postseason matchup.

 

I'm going to scream if Dubon is in this lineup

 

I see that Oakland has lost 100. The Curse of the Rat....

 

It should be Chas, Myers, Dubon , in that order for CF. Dubon only if the other two got food poisoning at the same time

This is the lineup I've asked for all year long and I'm finally getting it.

Bregman in the 2 hole.

I would just put Pena in the six spot and Yuli down to seven and you've got yourself a perfect lineup.

Diaz and Mancini bring the alternatives. No Dubon ever.

I pray that this is in preparation for the playoffs, but definitely doubting it.

 

Well if Myers is on the roster then that means he replaced Dubon, one would hope.

Peña is too low, Gurriel is too high. Where is Diaz? This is more Dusty playing games.

 

Who do you swap Diaz for ? Yuli ?

 

I don't think they care a whit about keeping the regular season meaningful since the keep adding teams to the playoffs though Divisions and then Wild Cards.

1969-1993 LCS play 2 Series. 4 teams
1973-Infernal DH instituted in the AL
1994- LDS instituted - No playoffs
1995-2011 LDS operated - 3 Series. 8 teams
2012-2021 WC instituted - 4 Series. 10 teams
2022- WC expanded - 4 Series. 12 teams

When 12 of 30 teams make the playoffs, the regular season games are GREATLY DIMINISHED.

 

Yeah I think Yuli is a bench player now.
