Either an Astros win or a Mariners loss gives Houston the division.

Isn’t there still a one game tie-breaker in this scenario? Both teams would finish 92-70.

Between Astros choking away the division and the Rockets only winning 14 games this upcoming season, Houston sports is really bad right now.

I have a hard time believing that we are going to be able to flip a switch in the postseason.
We look pretty bad right now.

No tie breaker game, if Seattle loses once or Astros win once, Astros win the division.

This seemed relevant given the way the question was asked. I’m not sure if the tie-breaker counts as a regular season game or not.

Seattle is eliminated from the Division race with one more loss. I assume is because we won the season series.

It does count as a regular season game, game 163.

Right. And if the Astros lose out and Seattle wins out then there is a one game playoff to determine the division winner.

No, because then it would be impossible for them to even have the same record at the end of the season.
