Okay that’s valid. But I’ll trust the guy who’s around the players every single day and has a better idea than anyone else when his guys need days off. Who’s to say Altuve hasn’t been noticeably tired or was feeling a little sore?

And the difference between tonight and tomorrow would be what exactly? So no, it doesn’t make “all the sense in the world” to give him the day off tonight.

Maybe altuve will play the hero anyways.

Kiermaier could have stayed on the ****ing DL for another few games.

Stassi due to be a hero.
My bad I didn’t know he forgot how to swing the bat.

lol nah man i'm not riding with that. that's a cop-out argument to me. of course i trust hinch, he's more than earned his keep. but this was an extremely questionable decision with a day off thursday and against their ace, which is only emphasized by the fact that we are chasing a record. keep that morale and confidence going. it's not like we've been crushing the ball at home anyways. benching tuve had a major trickle down effect tonight from the offense to the defense.

would have less qualms if altuve was benched tomorrow (even tho i'm going to the game) or monday in the rays bullpen game (where he would've had to adjust to different pitchers). but given the context of the situation, i disagree with his decision. hinch has rested other guys in some earlier games that i didn't have a problem with.

You definitely don’t want to swing the bat in this situation - good call Stassi and White. Jesus.
