I started to watch the game, quickly determined that Cole "didn't have it". At 4-0, I became discouraged & shut it off. (Oh ye of little faith!). Later on, I checked bspn for the score & found it was 3-4 in the bottom of the 8th with 1 on & no outs. I switched to the game, only it was the top of the 9th & we hadn't scored. I continued watching anyway & was greatly rewarded as y'all know by now. I slept really well last nite & turned on "CBS This Morning". In their "Your world in 90 seconds" segment, they showed Bregman's hit. We made network news! It's gonna be a great day!
Scott is kind of annoying the way he is inserting himself in all these local athlete spots, making it about him. It's reminding me of Suge Knight's beef with Puff Daddy back in the Death Row days. If I was a rival grocery store I'd approach Bregman and say "to all you local sports stars out there, who don't wanna be on a commercial where the executive producer's all up in the videos, all on the commercials, dancin'...then come to Randall's!"
Checked the box score and saw the Astros were down 4-2 and started streaming in the 6th to catch the Astros win live. So fun being a fan of a team full of clutch and great players. Never out of it.
They are only going for a franchise record tonight. How about we wait to give Altuve his first DNP of the season until after the win streak ends.
Astros got swept by the Rays last year, the team is Analytics players, leftovers from When the G.M left to the the Dodgers
I wouldn't rule out PHing - although I'd rather avoid a close game. Hinch said, "after making a long run last postseason, I (he) respect rest even more now."
Not sure why this is a surprise to anybody: Only Altuve has played in all 70 games. He was the team’s designated hitter in three of those, but Hinch doesn’t ever consider that a true day off. “I wish we could plug and play like robots and (guys) could play every single day for every single inning for every single series,” Hinch said. “But that’s not the way it’s going to be. There’s going to be some times when your favorite player isn’t playing.” https://www.chron.com/sports/astros...inch-committed-rest-star-players-12994753.php
They (the Astros) actually lost 3/4 here and won 2/3 there. ... if we're looking to have the utmost accuracy here.
Yep...a combination of me and google failing. I inverted the location. google neglected to show me that 7th game.
Bregman in at 2nd for Tuve. No MVP tonight against Snell with Jake in the 9 hole and White at 1B. Kiermaier is also returning for them in CF so he may rob a hit or two... Hopefully JV has good stuff tonight.
