Politics ruins everything, so you should stop consuming all the sports that disagree with your world view.

I think there should be a separation of entertainment and politics, without regard to how I feel about the specific politics. I can lose interest in certain types of entertainment for many reasons, but I will almost always lose interest when my entertainment tries to force politics into the situation.

I want my entertainment to merely serve their purpose and be entertaining. If they can't do that, I'll find other entertainment that can. Simple as that.

That said, the insistence of desperately pushing politics in sports isn't the only reason why I've lost interest in a lot of it.

Oh...you just want them to entertain you, no matter how the world treats people of color? Screw that. Sports and Politics have always gone together. Jesse Owens and 1936 Olympics, Jack Johnson (boxer), Ali, 1980 & 1984 Olympic Boycotts, Segregated Baseball, Basketball, Football...at all levels (until White colleges, High Schools, and Pro Owners realized Black athletes can give them a competitive advantage). Go ahead and play with Trump's micro balls for entertainment. More your style.

Yes, I want entertainers to entertain me, that is their only purpose to me.

I'm fine if you see them as heroes or whatever, but I don't deify people simply because they are entertaining or because they provide me with any other service.

I don't want my plumber to preach to me about saving the whales, I only want him to serve his purpose, take his pay, and go away.

The national anthem being played isnt that nationalism/politics forced onto u, i didnt see u btching then? U cant have it both ways.

See if something bothers u just flip channel and come back to the entertaining part not that hard.

My interest in this team is diminishin not bc of politics but bc our hc/gm sucks

I don't consider the national anthem being played to be "politics", but even if I did, how often is the national anthem televised?

Again, I get that certain people have a deep emotional connection to the politics being pushed, and that's fine, if it doesn't bother you that's great.

Some people prefer their entertainment to be free of that kind of thing. Also, I've said many times that my dwindling interest is not primarily driven by the politics they are desperately pushing to be part of the game, for sure BOB being a terrible head coach and an even worse GM is a large factor that contributes to the product just not being that enticing.

My body is ready for this ass whooping. Wonder how many times I will say "F BoB" or "BoB is a moron" or "insert random o-lineman/db messed up the play" over the next 3 hours?

BoB loves giving it to the opposing offense to start the 2nd half for some reason

    3 and out.

Standard Texans game plan in effect. Running on all cylinders. BOB playing 6 dimensional chess.

It's important to ensure you go 3 and out by "establishing the run"

Leave it to the Texans to take the Opening kick off and then go run, run, short pass, punt
