Absolute ****ing ground-breaking masterpiece, no one knew what that was after The Real Thing. Looking back its arguably the most-influential album of its time, influenced so many bands after them.
Triumph was my first concert at Reunion Arena in 1983, Never Surrender tour, they blew me away, very under rated....
Lucky you, peak FNM, although King For a Day and Album of the Year are fantastic. I missed that tour but saw Patton with Mr Bungle in 92 at Dallas City Limits, ****ing crazy show
Last show I saw them was in 1995 on the World slavery Tour, fantastic musicians...Steve Harris and Nico are a force....I think its ok to derail a game thread since it will go away soon.....
BTW, don't watch the documentary, they show live footage and you can hear people screaming, burning, stuck in the doorway, heartbreaking
I was a wee lad and I remember my mom jamming that ****, cruising around Channelview in her Monza. she was a hippy and dated a Banditos member and it didnt end well but she got out. Tommy James and the Shondells also....
I saw Testament with Megadeth and Judas Priest at the Capital center in Landover Md 1990. Painkiller tour.
I missed that tour but by all accounts that was Judas Priest at their best, fastest and most powerful. I met Rob at a Pantera show back when he first started Fight, nicest and coolest guy ever.
Not gonna lie, I was watching a live performance of "Three Little Pigs" from 2023 when I read this. Hadn't heard it in awhile. For me, it was Metallica and Megadeth primarily. Then a whole lot of Faith No More, followed by Tool, Deftones, Primus, Rage, Alice in Chains, Sunny Day Real Estate, Pearl Jam and Nirvana. Outside of Megadeth and Faith No More, never really went back to the 70s-80s metal/rock stuff. But since some of you listened to similar stuff as me growing up, just wondering if there is anything newer that you all listen to? For me, it's Karnivool (Australian band), Nothing More (from Texas) and Sleep Token, amongst others. Just curious. With that said, love this Astros run, especially with a win tonight against the Rangers. Hope to take the next two, get our guys rested, see what Dana cooks with the draft, beat up on the Mariners after the break, and see how Dana handles the deadline. Should be fun.
Soul brothers man, that sums it up for me, how about Dead Horse? I went crazy alternative listening to **** like Praxis, Godflesh, Ministry and Fantomas but then I'd throw on Pauls Botique or Urban Dance Squad, my friends were like WTF is wrong with you? FNM my fav band though by far.....
