I got baited into it. I was making a valuation argument and I'm always interested in hearing other people's opinions on what they think an extension or FA contract would be worth b/c I don't know- who does- so the wider the net possible the better. Then, he started bringing up Musgrove getting a 5 year extension, comparing it to the 5 year extensions I thought we ought to offer Framber, Urqidy, Javier and Garcia, who have 3, 3, 3 and 4 years left before FA, compared it to Musgrove (entering FA this offseason), ignored deals like Archer and Sale when they had FA bought out, and in general beclowned himself and I realized- hey- this isn't a person that you need to get a different perspective from the sharpen your own idea of what valuation might be, this is literally someone who has zero idea how future valuation extensions work in baseball, can't understand the concept of buying out arbitration years, and wants to compare all that to a better pitcher entering a walk year and doesn't understand why it's wrong. Then I realized that I was an ******* for trying to have a discussion with someone like that. Finding out he's a Baker truther as it relates to lineup decisions is just chef's kiss.
Notice like Scarface they aren't in the game threads. He's a waste of your time. He pops up when someone criticizes Baker, Googles a few things to pretend he's a fan and then proceeds to get embarrassed. Then, he returns to defend Baker. Just ignore him
Like I said- not even shitty offensively the last 6 weeks! He's stepped back from the abyss. It was so ugly at the beginning of the year, but the last 6 weeks he's managed to salvage his season and go from historically awful to merely- extremely below average for a major league hitter but only a little below average for a major league catcher. I'd still play him 2 times a week now that you have Vasquez, but it's a lot less concerning when he's hitting the occasional HR, drawing a walk here or there and not having an OPS under 400 like he did for most of the first 3 months of the year.
As I said, I put him on ignore and it took a little thought to figure out what was happening. He's on ignore and I truly appreciate the way the ignore function doesn't let you know you missed a post and doesn't show it quoted. It's fantastic.

Just because he doesn't do lineups the way you want him too. The ****ing Astros have the best record in the AL. A double digit division lead. He has made the ALCS with a short pitching staff 2 years in a row, WS 1 in one of those years. You think the Yankees fans would take those results? Hell, All most all teams would take those results.
