If they really do hate the idea of Mancini in LF that much, one of two things is true

    Either
    1. Click did a horrible job at the deadline of bringing in a player who could have a significant impact to the offense

    or

    2. Click and Dusty truly do not see eye to eye on baseball decisions, and he doesn't have the ability to impact Dusty's lineups. Dusty has to be the only human on earth other than maybe Yuli's family who doesn't know Mancini is better than Yuli at this point. And actually, Yuli's family is a baseball family, they wouldn't admit it, but they know

His apologists don't follow the team. They just drop in to defend his stupid decisions

    LOL

You must not be able to read as numbers have clearly been posted about lineup decisions

I would add more of them here, but you wouldn't understand them

You say managers are not difference makers in baseball anymore with all of the numbers used, and yet what we are all pissed about is Dusty's refusal to use the numbers! He manages like it is still 1980

It's not all about hitting, Gurriel is a much better fielder and what does any of this have to do with trying to get his bat going?

Bregman has been just as bad a hitter as Gurriel with about the same power and nobody was b****ing about him and he makes double what Gurriel does, and he still has had a very underwhelming season, but nobody is advocating to replace him with Mancini.

And look now Bregman is breaking out.

I don't even care if Gurriel goes to the bench, but he is not the only one that could go to the bench using your logic.

Such a tiny sample size though. If they are trying to build his confidence, it makes sense they want him in better positions to succeed. The same just apparently doesn't apply to Chas.
He already used his free trial membership?

    Wrong.

Here's Gurriel's defensive metrics this year at 1st.

    Vs. Mancini's
    [IMG]

Bregman's OPS never dipped below .740, he was at no point an below average hitter. Yuli's yet to reach an OPS over .700 at any point.

Do you actually think dusty has that much autonomy over lineups?

    Come on my guy,
Wait so now Dusty refuses to use the numbers?

And you think Click is cool with that?

You are not even trying to make sense anymore.

So we are looking at another season creeping to the 100 win mark with Dusty refusing to use the numbers, and this is after losing 2 guys in FA consecutive years who were all stars

    This place is bonkers.

Dusty makes the lineups with input from the front office and scouts.

If you don't know that, you are even more ignorant than I thought.

LMFAO, you can't make it up.

Dusty doesn't do computers or "stats", or any of that newfangled BS

Yes, Dusty has absolute autonomy when that card is turned in.

Click had to trade Myles Straw last season so Dusty couldn't play him every day and Meyers would get a chance. He proceeded to sit Meyers for 2 weeks out of spite.

Well at least you brought numbers I respect that.

Those numbers are not him playing 1st base regularly so not really a great comparison, what is Mancini's pick rate?

So now the line of demarcation is 740?

And that takes Bregman off the hook how?

It appears Dusty is valuing defense over offense at this point. Click and Dusty aren't on the same page. Mancini may continue to rarely play from these remarks.

Yeah, I'm sure that's exactly the way Click wants him to write out lineup cards.

Click literally said Dusty makes the lineups. You don't follow the team though. You're one of two people on here still supporting him. I guess all the regulars here who have posted in here for years are all stupid though and the two who pop in to defend Baker know more. Get lost bum

Why is Bregman "on the hook"

He's having a solid season, just a clear step down from his MVP level. He's never been an actively negative presence in the lineup like Yuli.
