Pitching mistakes Hitting mistakes Fielding mistakes Baserunning mistakes Every one of them has cost runs. Not looking like a well-oiled machine so far tonight.
This has been nails on a chalkboard kind of offensive night. Even Aluve's 3 run double could have very easily been an inning ending double play.
The bunt by the guy who I have b!tched about this year for not being able to bunt is literally the only productive out in this game. 2-14 RISP, 21 individual LOB, 7 team
Because they have a CBA. And again...they're testing it out for the first time this year to make sure it works.
I wouldn't mind still having the human ump, but teams are allowed to challenge calls that goes to the RoboUmp. Similar to tennis.
This boxscore is incredible and prob has never happened more than 10x in MLB history NL game (no DH), every batter went multi-hit, plus there were no HRs. A bottom-3 hitter being the RBI leader is an extra caveat. I like the memory too
Or just give the human ump a real-time feed to know if its a ball or strike. The computerized stone still has some glitches apparently on breaking balls that may break late. Umps shouldn’t be missing obvious ones, however, and they’ve had a lot of those this year. A robotic zone giving real-time feedback would help them in that department.
