Framber only gave up three runs, his FIP and xFIP were fine but batters smacked him around. A lot of very hard contact on pitches that caught too much zone. I do like that Framber appears strong later in the game, unlike Javier. Framber's pitches still moved though his command wasn't there yesterday with either pitches out of the zone or pitches with a lot of the plate.

They said he caught him earlier this season, perhaps 5 starts ago?

    Thanks.

Glad this wasn't a one-off. While I never want any pitcher to be "dependent" on a catcher, we've seen plenty of littered examples over the years where pitchers have a personal caddy. Most recently Cole/Maldanado... and NY fans currently wondering why they didn't throw stupid money at Maldanado as well as Strom, if they were going to be necessary to optimizing their $300 million dollar investment.

Yep, I'm not for personal catchers because it can make a pitcher feel dependent on one catcher as you say, but would let veteran pitchers get their way if it was important to them. I am shocked that the Yankees didn't get Maldonado.

Dusty Baker said Jose Urquidy is penciled in to start one of the games during Saturday's doubleheader against the Angels in Anaheim

Urquidy is going to throw a bullpen session in Houston at some point before the road trip and, if all goes well, he will start. The Astros have contingencies just in case, but Urquidy is written in pencil.

Michael Brantley is definitely my favorite player after Springer.

    Brantley and Yuli.

Yuli had the worst game in the history of YulI games, yesterday. It was way ****ed up.

Yeah, Yuli has been a solid first baseman and has done nothing but come up with timely hits over the years. Such a likable guy as well.

How in the hell do you review this? You can't review where a fielder was moving to make a call of what the ball hit if you can't see the ball.

However you CAN'T review a check swing!!??

Verlander Grienke Valdez Javier is a really good starting rotation for 2021.

I typically follow the players with the most unknown or something interesting.

I like Bregman's plate discipline and approach.
    Alvarez for making baseballs cry.
    Tucker for what can be.
Javier for when his fastball "rises".
Urquidy for limiting walks while getting Ks.
    Scrubb, Valdez, Pressly for hammers.
Verlander and Brantley for relaxing at the ballpark watching a smooth operator
Enoli and Kemp (even though he's gone to a dark place) for joyfulness
    Springer for hustle
    Altuve for being Altuve.
    Yuli for his hair

I have a lot of favorites on this team.
