He has a quick delivery to the plate from the stretch and a decent move to first. Did someone say he has a problem from the stretch? Just was wondering if it was a mechanics issue, or what.
Managers don't do that in the big boy league. It was on him to take if he didn't like it, or hack if it was a pitch he was looking for.
If there's a way to get on base, Altuve will do it. Love that guy. Come on let's add another run this inning.
I imagine if he does have issues from the stretch, it's because he is rushing his mechanics and it leads to him losing control. Just a guess on my part.
He has a tendency to not drive straight at the plate and thus drift, so his arm drags and his stuff is up or out of the zone.
Rangers looking to become the first team since the '99 Blue Jays* to sweep each league's best team b2b series. Yeah, very abitruary stat. Let's stop it from happening anyway. *don't quote me on Toronto, but def 1999 according to Astros radio broadcast
Astros don't give red lights that I am aware, but seen players on other teams complain about former managers, former teams giving a red light after they put in the work to get a favorable count.
Sounds like Ned Yost. As I said in my first post, situation dependent. Is he taking 2-0 now? ETA: he has a really good idea of the strike zone so far.
