Every year the young team seems to play complementary baseball, as Bill O'Brien would call it. First the pitching slumps, then the hitting follows it into the gutter. Or the other way around. Let's hope this is the worst slump the Astros get into this year. The lineup is way too deep to permit much worse.
Fisher starting. I'm going to be at the game front row Crawford boxes. Looks like I picked a good one with two rookies making their MLB starting debut!
Why would a city's team get to put a state name on their jersey in the first place? Is there a precedent for that? Who approved that? It falsely implies this team represents the entire state. It's wrong.
I still can't get over the fact that 4 of our 5 rotation pitchers are on the DL. That's just stupid even by the Houston injury curse standards. Here's to our two youngins having a great game tonight!
Bannister's 3rd grade comment just gives us more reason to hate them. I hope he blows more cr@p out his @ss. More ammunition in the form of adrenaline for our guys to use game time. I hope Lance shares his story with the team ten times over in the pre-game.
Here's a toast to Martes and FIsher. Huge part of our farm system that we need to see succeed well in the big leagues. Here or for a future trade.
