Gregerson hadn't given up a run in about 3 weeks and has been outstanding recently (ERA in the 1's for the last month). Feliz got blown up in each of his last two outings. Beyond that, a 2-run deficit in the late innings for this team has not really been mop-up duty this season.

Left shortly after body odor tied the game in the 7th. I said as we were getting up "we'll lose this game now and I don't want to waste my time watching it happen, lets beat the traffic out of here" I wouldn't have put found money on the Astros winning this game following that home run. If this were any other city's team I'd say we'd still be at an advantage playing at home and being a much better team, but not Houston.

in three of our recent losses we've given up the lead. Starting pitching was not the problem tonight. The bullpen just got got. Fatiguehad little to do with it. It happens. It's just everything feels like it's snowballing down hill right now., I've grown to hate home games or The new centerfield makes me appreciate the astrodome.

Peacock was the one bright spot with harris. Don't know what's going on with Luke, he took care of beltre with ease.

Good lord, every team in MLB is prone to these types of swings. Despite the downturn we still have an 11 game lead in the division. If healthy this team, plus an addition or two at the deadline, should win the division with no problems and should be considered contenders.

If you really believe a healthy version of this team could collapse from a tough stretch when 4/5 of their starters were out then I'm not sure what to tell you. 2015 version of Astros? Absolutely. This team? Not happening.

Count me among the fans that choose to have a little freaking faith.

While not mathematically I believe psychologically tomorrow is a must win game. You limit the Rangers damage to picking up 1 game on you instead of 3. Salvage tomorrow and go into the off day with a W,.

You drew all the wrong conclusions from my post. Re-read and try again.

I expected these rough patches to come, but that still isn't helping me to feel better right now. Damn this team's great start and long winning streak to spoil me! But I'd rather they hit a bump now than in August and September. Just sucks that two weeks ago I felt like they couldnt lose; now its the complete opposite.

The Astros went from scorching hot to pitiful. Sort of hard to take.

One thing we have to remember is that this is the worst they have played all season and they still have the best record in the league by 3.5 games. If they can find a way to come out of this with that still in tact, then I can't imagine what kind of run they go on after that point.

This team desperately needs a break. The rangers schedule though is getting tougher so that's good for us

Crazy thing is despite the starting pitching getting injured, it hasn't been the problem thus far.

Hopefully the Stros don't create team turmoil within themselves because they are still above of it all. That big lead loss (which ended the 11 game winning streak) when we had against the Royals destroyed momentum.

That old baseball adage still holds true: Can't get too high when things are going well; can't get too low when they're not.

It'll be interesting to see how they respond to adversity, something they haven't really faced much of this season. And I don't mean how they'll respond in a 3 or 6 game span...I'm thinking more like over the next 2-3 weeks. Baseball season is long.

Our offense has been absolutely nuclear for the last month, a slump was inevitable. It unfortunately coincided with a wave of injuries.

The 2 losses have been very winnable, we just couldn't get the clutch hit, and they did.

Well, even though Peacock only gave up one run, he couldn't make it all the way through the fifth inning. Turning the game over to the bullpen in the fifth inning is a problem, particularly when we do it three or four games in a row.

That's a lot to put on a rookie pitcher. Maybe if the offense shows up... .

    A auto-loss if it doesn't.

Biggest impact this kind of stretch can have on a young team is in confidence. I hope the coaching staff and guys like McCann and Beltran are making sure the younger guys aren't second-guessing themselves, and are still having fun. We need our aces back in the worst kind of way. This pitching staff is under serious pressure right now, and it's starting to show. Even Devenski, who's been an intimidating mother****er all season, is looking shaky. These guys need a break.
