Speculation: If Lyles and Barnes can be traded for a Fowler type (2+ WAR hopefully by season's end), I wonder what a Fowler/Grossman/Marisnick with Folty/Woj/NiTro trade could get. Or heck, even possibly with McHugh. I am not suggesting that we trade them, but rather open to what we could get. If we can get a starting worthy LF'er to pair with Dexter and Springer, it is worth exploring. I happen to like Grossman (never thought I would say that) and Marisnick out there, but we can easily do better in my opinion.
I'm just not sure what teams out there are willing to give up a starting caliber outfielder for young/unproven pitching... I know the Rockies did it, and look where their season ended up. I do think they have to take offers for Fowler if he doesn't sign an extension, but they'd be unlikely to get equal major league value for him (thus, they'd probably take more prospects).
