The Springer bat flip was beautiful. Yesterday was a really bad day for #LifelongRangerFanSince2010 Significant injuries to two pitchers...dropping 2/3 to the 'stros....falling under .500. Lots of Twitter noise from the direction of Oklahoma about The Curse of Nolan Ryan.
2006 was a long damn time ago. I never really liked Interleague play; I never really liked the Rangers, and I still hate the DH and the fact that my Astros are languishing in the damned softball league. oh, well. Go Astros!
Amazing that the Cubs have a similar record to us, but have a run differential of -5 compared to our -55. Our playoff odds increased from 0.1 to 1.1
My favorite tweets from last night: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Now get back in your leased Beamers and take your asses back to Dallas!</p>— Archbishop Deshaies (@HouCounterplot) <a href="https://twitter.com/HouCounterplot/statuses/466787943903162368">May 15, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>The Academy in The Woodlands will stay open late for Rangers fans who suddenly want to buy a Springer shirt</p>— Astros County (@AstrosCounty) <a href="https://twitter.com/AstrosCounty/statuses/466788295218049025">May 15, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
These were mine. Although they're actually comments from the Arlington Facebook page. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Wasn't Feldman with the Rangers last year?</p>— Rangers FB Comments (@RangerFBComment) <a href="https://twitter.com/RangerFBComment/statuses/466790179127050241">May 15, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>We need to trade for Feldman. What's nice to see is that for the month of May the Astros team batting line is .266/.335/.765 which is good for: 9th in AVG 7th in OBP 5th in SLG Those are MLB wide, not AL rankings. Not half bad eh?
Even when they were good, they got off to bad starts in April. In addition, they have no offensive player over performing for the year.
