Last week I thought with my heart and used common sense, well the Texans ripped my heart out again and they don't EVER play with common sense sooooo.....

Texans win an ugly game 20-14 but Oakland's running game keeps it close but JRussell is such a bad QB and our offense is good enough to overcome it.

This is the raiders. Their first draft pick was a WR not named Michael Crabtree. Their second round pick wasnt even on the espn board if I recall.

We're dead last in rushing defense, but there certainly is a talent drop from CJ and MJD to Mcfadden. He hasnt rushed for 100 yards in over a year, and hasnt hit 100 total yards yet this year. I really hope our staff is lighting some butts on fire, because they can use this week to turn the run D around.

Obviously this is a must win.

hopefully our defense doesn't make their offense look good...or even average.
I worry about our Offense scoring because of the shut down corner they have.

Kubiak cuts every DT on the roster before the game and Cushing and Ryans are the new starters.

Williams and the overpaid scrub on the other side go after Jamarcus while our new DTs run directly towards McFadden whether he has the ball or not.

I've been disappointed with the Texans play this year, and if they lose to Oakland, I would seriously give thought into firing some people and picking up some new players. We have already lost two home games, two that I expected to win, so honestly, this game is making me nervous. They whooped us last year, and a repeat would really upset me. This team has the potential to be successful in the league, yet they play down to their opponents almost every game, giving me reason to be concerned about this sunday. Can't imagine the amount of critisicm we would get if we were to lose this game, even from our own fans. We really need a blowout so that we can build some momentum going into our next game, not to mention what it would do to the fans. We can't change the past, so let's only worry about the Raiders, and from there on. Let's go Texans. :D

A loss equals nuclear implosion of multiple megatons. The carnage will be extensive. The fireworks display after the game will be spectacular, if you enjoy seeing a stadium set on fire.

    I recommend a win.

Line 5 lineman with Cushing in the middle and use Ryans and Adibi in I-formation up close...with your feet on the air and your head on the ground, try this trick and spin it, yea

    Texans 41
    Raiders 10

Slaton goes for 92 yards on 14 carries but 0 TD's...McFadden has 28 carries for 102 yards, and 1 TD,...(mcfadden is contained all day except for one big 61 yard reverse run)

Hope the Texans win but wouldnt shock me at all if the Raiders pulled this one out. Raiders have a better defense than Jacksonville and who knows Russell may look like a #1 pick vs one of the worst defenses ever.

You'e kidding, right? Of course you are. Jamarcus Russell is so bad, he couldn't fall out of a boat and hit water. He's so bad, he makes the Raider fans yearn for the return of Todd Marinovich. With a (stellar?) QB rating of 39.8, he's this year's number one candidate for the Ryan Leaf Memorial Award. So far this year, he's completed 31 of 75 for 378 yds. He has 1 TD and 4 Ints.

And as a team, the Raiders' offensive numbers are simply godawful:

    TOTAL FIRST DOWNS: 39
    TOTAL OFFENSIVE YARDS: 669
    TOTAL RUSHING YARDS: 310
    TOTAL PASSING YARDS: 359
    TOUCHDOWNS: 3
    TURNOVER RATIO: -1

You have to go back to golden age of the Houston Oilers to find a team this bad. The Texans should get well on Sunday. When you face a dog-butt team that's down, you come out and you kick it and you keep kicking it until the whistle sounds ending the game.

Somebody on 610 called him "JaMunches Ruffles" yesterday and Rich Lord couldn't understand the joke.

    I laughed.

I think the raiders win this one, it will be an anemic offensive game. We probably won't be able to throw much to Andre Johnson since he'll be covered by the best corner in the game and the Texans haven't showed me this year that they can run the ball. They can't stop the run, so I predict it will be something like

    Raiders 12
    Texans 6

    I hope I'm wrong

other than the Jets, which are much better defensively than the raiders...i don't see how or why the Texans offense would be anemic

Wow.....I've been wrong...WAY wrong every week.

Soooo....Texans offense continues to roll, with our running game finally coming to life.....but the outcome can go either way...

Maybe a jacques reeves sighting? I think we can all agree that everything, present and future, hangs on the outcome of this game.

    Victory must be achieved/

As bad as the radiers are, they have been very solid against the pass, dating back to last season. And the Texans haven't showed me that they can run the ball - that's all I'm saying.

Except that the Texans always seem to play down to the competition, so hopefully we come out with guns blazing, because if we dont, the Texans are going to be in trouble...
