i think we can win by more than a touchdown, a double digit win most likely.. low scoring with both teams running a bunch and keeping the clock rolling.. as long as we don't get sloppy and burned deep by d.moore on a big TD or DMC off a pass out of the backfield, we should be in good shape. 24 - 10, Texans (without kareem jackson) 24 - 20, Texans (with kareem jackson)

It will be interesting to see Wade's defense this week. It will be all about stopping the run. He did that pretty well against us when the Cowboys came in to town last year, and we arguably have an equal or better front seven. Keep Mcfadden to around 70 to 90 yards and we will win comfortably. Put JJo on an island and let our defense load that box.
Could see DMC or Foster or both putting up those kind of numbers. Texans pass defense vs the Raiders pass may be the difference.
If I were in charge of the offensive game plan, I would come out throwing, lots of play action, then switch to a big dose of Foster, then back to passing all over the field. I promise you Kubiak is not going to do that. He is going to run Foster and run him some more. That is just what the Raiders are expecting and planning for. Kubiak is called by some an offensive genius. Hmmmm?
Even New England ran on the Raiders, with rookie RBs. Good offensive line will destroy their weak LBs.
I was reading a Raiders blog, and the head coach (Hue, I think) was asked what he thought the Texans will do, and he said if he was coaching the Texans with that back and that line against us (the Raiders), I would run it all day, we have got to stop the run... so there you you have it, both teams are scared sheetless of each other's run game. something has to give...
=Kubiak throwing all day. I have a bad feeling about the Raiders. Or maybe i'm still stuck on the old Texans and don't believe in the "new" Texans yet?
If there's ever a game to line Quin up opposite Joseph and give Nolan the start, this would be it. Doubt it'll happen though. If Campbell is able to expose Allen/Jackson, we've got some real problems. Hopefully the front 7 will get enough pressure to avoid that situation entirely.
I know it's hip to hate on Kubiak and all, but I don't understand where people get the idea that he doesn't run the ball enough. Foster didn't win the rushing title by pass blocking all season. The 2nd Indy game last year was the exception, but Kubiak always balances out the pass and run (provided we're not playing catch up), and if he leans heavy on one side, it's almost always on the running side. That's why everyone was so pissed off at him when he had Green and Brown carrying the ball 25 times a game, even when they were getting like 1.5 ypc. Wow, that feels like so long ago...
Because Campbell is not the best of decision makers and Nolan is a better ball hawk than Quin IMO. Quin needs to be on the field though, since he's such a sure tackler. We might give up a little in coverage, but I'm not really afraid of Campbell or any of his receivers. They'll give up a lot more big plays than they'll make.
Kubiak constantly came out throwing, fell behind, and abandoned the run plenty of times last year. @Was: Opening drive, Schaub 3 straight passes, the third an INT vs Dal Open with two straight passes, and 6 passes to 3 runs vs NYG Open with 4 straight passes (one sack) and a punt @Ind Open with 4 straight passes (one sack) and a punt. At halftime, Schaub is sporting a QB Rating of 12 but Foster still can't get more than 15 carries for the game despite a wooping 6.8 ypc. @Jax Open with 4 passes and 1 run etc etc I don't know why, but Kubiak is very fond of opening the game with 3 straight throws. The danger of course being a quick 3&out and conceding field position early (and possibly spotting the opponent the first score). Pittsburgh was the only game this year where the opening series wasn't heavily pass oriented. If you've got a killer run game.....RUN. Control time of position, eat up yards, wear down the opposing line. It's similar to having a dominant post presence in the NBA vs chucking 3s.
Their WRs have big play potential and i don't think it's the best idea to put a guy out there who hasn't worked at CB all season. The texans need to keep the raiders run game in check and although nolan is a ball hawk, i'd rather have a more sure tackler at safety
