    I would of preferred Kubiak kick the FG. Rackers is no slouch and our defense could deal even if Rackers missed.

    I just explained this above... you kick the FG if you feel your defense can't handle them, and you need all the points possible.

    Otherwise, you trust your defense to keep them at bay when you pin them deep, and you give your offense better field position.
