No love for former Thorpe awared winner, Michael Huff? He's had a medicre career thus far, but it was nice to see him win a game for the Raiders.

As an outsider, I think yall are way too hard on Schaub. He made two very good plays on the last drive - one one 1st and 25, and the other on that rollout play to get the ball down to the 5-yard line. Huff just made a badass play there at the end.

Also, that is a pretty solid Raiders team. Lamarr Houston and Richard Seymour are very disruptive up front. And Darren McFadden has been on a tear since last year.

The Texans still get to play Jax twice and the Colts another time. That should get them close to the playoffs.

This seems to be a common theme. I've seen it posted 3 times from 3 different team fans just this morning.

    Maybe there's something to it.....................

he didn't really make a badass play at all. He got a gift basket due to the miscommunication between schaub and JJ

Only 1 thing I want to say in here.

8:30 to go in the game. Only down 1 score (8pts) and yet, we abandon the run completely, and act like we're trying to march down the field with less than a min left.

raiders had 8-9 in the box to stop the run. against man coverage with no safety and still our crappy group of receivers couldn't get open. that and our o-line was sucking hard the last few series.

And Brees would have hit JJ for the TD.

But thank you for summing up the point succinctly: Schaub is a good QB, not a great QB. Doesn't mean you're not a Texans fan if you recognize that and it bothers you.

But by the same token, it doesn't mean you can't with with him either. I mean, Rex Freakin' Grossman went to a Super Bowl. You can succeed with a mediocre or good QB, but you can't count on the mediocre or good QB to win you games on plays like this.

You've just never seen coverage that good before.

Honestly the Raiders took control in the 2nd half and had 3-4 chances to put the game away and faltered every time. (Settling for a FG after the fake punt, giving up the pass on 4th down, throwing a deep ball on 1st down when they needed to run clock).

The Texans nearly came back and stole the victory, but the ghost of Al Davis was too much.

The Raiders are 3-2 after a brutal 4 game stretch (Bills, Jets, Patriots, Texans). It isn't like you just lost to the Dolphins.

You guys lose one game you could have won and it turns into
    1.) Schaub sucks
    2.) Kubiak sucks
3.) Find a scapegoat in the secondary

Typical of the fans around here. No idea how to handle defeat.

It's absolutely true, yet pathetic at the same time. I say this, because, frankly, we've had a lot of practice.

    moes is right

they're still 3-2 and just lost to a team that was almost destined to win and without andre, the texans move down to the raiders class.

arian foster isn't enough, you need another game breaker out on the field. and schaub did his bes to deal with it, you start throwing that many passes weaknesses get exposed.

this is what pissed me off last week so much with texans pr guy. i try to remain even keeled with this team win or loss. they've played about the same the last two weeks. they played a little worse offensively this week and that's to be expected with andre out

they're a slightly above avg team with a slightly above avg qb in a weak division. everyone relax

    Hey, I know this guy:

    jeffbalkeJeff Balke
The Texans are like that girlfriend who doesn't really like you, but you stay with her because you think things will change.

It's like getting tag-teamed by the Dennis Miller and Dennis Leary.

(And no, I don't mean that as a compliment... and god help you if you thought I did)

You must be talking about the Rockets because the Oiler championships were a lot farther back than that. Like I was in junior high and I am so old I am barely still present!;)
