Hot take: JC could be THE steal in the draft.

But he's playing out of position. Should be SG/SF. As the PG he failed to get a single assist vs. Heat. And his TO's were glaringly bad.

But kid has no fear, is physical, efficient AF and adds a spark whenever on the floor.

    A leader and communicator.

Agree that Josh is probably not going to be an efficient PG. I think he should definitely be in our rotation, because his defense and energy is incredible. If he can get a consistent outside shot, he will be a legitimate starting SG or SF in this league. Right now I think Tate should start at SF. That will help our defensive and rebounding.

    Hot Take, Take 2:

Tate and Garuba need to start over House and Theis.

No explanation necessary for Tate over House. And if Tate is unavailable then start KJ. Anyone but House.

Garuba over Theis because Theis is poor rebounder and rim protector. Theis prefers to defend the perimeter and attack passing lanes.

That would complement Sengun better since Sengun is more comfortable defending the paint.

Theis also likes to shoot 3, midrange and roll, this complements Sengun who prefers to play in post, facillitator on PnR or show and go.

Garuba is better rebounder and post defender/rim protector than Theis (and Wood). Garuba's physical post defense allows Wood to play more as weakside protector, his strength.

Garuba's upside is an elite defender.

And Wood knows where Garuba will be on offense - corner 3 or dunker spot allowing Wood to be primary roller with Scoot.

Thanks but that's not saying much considering how highly you think of him.

Hey I know we don't agree on the vaccine and politics but I completely agree about Silas and his dumb decisions with playing the wrong players at the wrong positions

House, exum,Augustin, and maybe even theis shouldnt even be playing..not even as bench players..we have brooks ,wood, sengun,kj Martin, Tate ,and jc
..no reason at all for these has-been vets to be playing
Makes it VERY hard to be a rockets fan right now when I think I'm smarter than the coach..and I don't know sheit but I know Silas is clueless..

Can't wait till he's gone..hes buddy's with Steve Kerr I'm sure the warriors will hire him as an assistant.he won't be jobless lol

I forgot about abdalfattah but damn the vipers looked good last yr

Tate and Garuba over Theis and House seems like a reasonable take than a hot take. :p

The defense for the starting line up needs lot of work.

    Talent wise for sure.

4 first rounders, 1 all rookie first team and 2 key salvaged pieces under 26 (both potential MIP candidates) plus 2nd round gem in KJ.

Just need a system to optimize this talent.

    Hot take:

Wood's recent shooting / free throw woes is because he packed 10lbs extra muscle. His body hasn't entirely adjusted.

#KD slim reaper, French runway model body goals.

Dude d-rock is right..Silas sucks.. you don't like Silas either..I'm baffled why u and drock are argueing.. we all want the rockets to improve and we are not seeing that with the coach ...not last yr or this yr.. they almost look worse without wall becuz they are clueless on the court

I just answered my own question as to why Silas loves wall...makes since NOW..I was baffled but now I get it, wall is smart on the court with high iq and since Silas has no clue what to do, he let wall take over on the court and in the huddle

Also, you guys need to understand that without a defensive stradegy they will NEVER be good no matter how many Tate's and garubas they have..

HOT TAKE: Green should be 6th man and torching less talented 2nd units. Will do better defending less skilled players as well.

Love his effort, speed and body control but his offensive inefficiency is indicative of his lack of strength.

Opposing teams are taking his inside penetration away and making him a jump shooter.

If 3ball not falling going to be a looooooong arse night.

I'm not opposed to this as it will provide him with more comfort playing next to JC because right now it's not looking too good with KPJ in the back court. And like you said give him opportunity to torch the other team's reserves.

    Wood
    Sengun
    Tate
    Gordon
    KPJ

    Theis
    Martin Jr.
    Christoper
    Green
Brooks (because this unit needs a 3 point threat)

This is better rotation than what Silas rolling out now.

But I'd rather play Sengun as point center for 2nd unit.

Garuba and Tate next to Wood would work better defensively AND offensively.

And both units will be better rebounding ball.

This move has Wood playing the 5 again (on offense) and allow him to play 4 on defense.

Garuba is already a better all around defender than Theis.
