1. Texans 2. Broncos 3. Patriots 4. Ravens We would've played the Ravens and the Broncos would've played the Pats. If we would've gotten past Baltimore, we would've played the winner of DEN-NE in Reliant.
This loss isn't schaub's fault. But the fact is, our QB is not good enough to make plays that aren't conventional. He cannot overcome adversity. It is what it is. If we were SF or Seattle, we would have management with brass balls to make the bold move. Not to say this way always works, but we will never be a Super Bowl team with Schaub. Is what it is.
The defense gave up 41 points because the offense didnt do what it was supposed to when it had the chance...the only thing im actually mad about is the lack of knowledge of what the patriots try to do...you see it sooooooo much that after a big play...they go for the jugular...and quick snap...if you know that is coming...defenses should have a safety formation to get into...thats leadership and thats where we are missing Cushing...Cushing's loss was glaring... What im actualy worried about was that our team was fairly healthy other than losing Cushing...while that was a huge loss...not having other players step up was a major disappointment...
This might have been a winnable game if the Texans had played at home. That's what really ought to piss off Uncle Bob.
I made my point. You're just too dense to understand it. The defense isn't gonna be able to hold off the greatest QB in history on the field forever. If the offense is running the ball...if Schaub can covert some 3rd downs to keep drives alive...if our receivers make clutch catches on the first drive...if Kubiak isn't so predictable....then the Defense is off the field meaning Brady can't score.
Truth is that we would've lost at home and it wouldve been more embarrassing...just saying...They are just a better run team...not more talented...better run...they get the most out of avg players and really only have 2 or 3 big playmakers...Brady, Gronk, and Wilfork...everyone else are just avg players playing at a high level...
The Texans were better than the Patriots for 8 weeks... but they did what well coached teams do, got better as the season progressed and even filled holes in trade. The Texans did the opposite. They were an elite team that just became "good" as the year progressed. Uncle Bob should ask Kubiak why that is the case.
Jordan and Phil went through their growing pains in the playoffs before winning their first title. Pops won with Duncan almost right away just like Belichick/Brady, and continued a sustained excellence even when not winning SBs/NBA titles. Giving you free education on pro sports kid.
sad sad sad. baltimore would have been a better match up and patriots would have had to play in the wildcard + play the broncos before we saw them.
An elite QB, the kryptonite of the Texans' defense. I had really high hopes when they were eliminated by the Ravens last year because of the belief that Schaub being absent was a huge factor. I watched this game and was proven wrong. I disregarded the last two touchdowns since it was like "where was this earlier in the game?" and the Patriots weren't as urgent. What is there to look forward to now for this team? I don't think Brian Cushing's absence was that big of a factor that they would have won this game. You have to wonder what off-season moves this team would be able to do to fix their right side of the O-Line, the defense other than Watt and J-Jo, and maybe even QB.
