Just a lone opinion, but perhaps the "worst" loss of the year, though there is stiff competition. How do you strand that many base runners, how do you give up a "gimme" homer like that in such a critical situation? Especially when you are supposed to be a "hot dog" closer. But, this isn't the first time he has done this. It is something of a habit. An utter and complete fail. I know, tomorrow is another game. But eventually you run out of "tomorrows."

I dunno, did you see the Astros in the first couple months of the season? Same things really.

Hader couldn't find the strike zone if his life depended on it in the 9th, was all over the place, then threw another meatball. We've seen it many times already this year, giving up hrs to lesser hitters like Vasquez, Taylor and many more.

Hopefully they send Ort down and bring Whitley up if he isn't traded, at least he'll be 95 million dollar cheaper even if he blows the game.

Astros had the lead vs Skenes (arguably MLB's best pitcher) after South Africa served nicely, then....

    - stupid baserunning
    - Pressly f**ks up
    - Hader f**ks up even worse
    - and of course, the offense can't do enough

Astros can still win the series, but today was '24 April -- and April is what led to the Astros being desperate and getting screwed for a subpar pitcher (Kikuchi).

    Bullcrap day in Astros History

Screw Whitley and his under performing ass. Ort has done nothing to be sent down for a headcase.

Stupid loss against Pittsburgh and an even stupider trade (no Vaseline) --- SEA lost.... at least there's that.

I'm excited about tomorrow's Astro team. I hope Leon starts.

This game sucked but we all expected it to be a loss before Bloss was even scratched.

Well it would've been better if Bloss started and we got shellacked so we didn't have to waste all of our best relief arms. Abreu, Pressly, Hader all had long innings. Taylor Scott had to go 3 and won't pitch for awhile. Now Montero and Seth Martinez will definitiely pitch tomorrow.

Weird take.. if the best bullpen arms pitched like they were the best bullpen arms… the outcome of this game would have been very different.

They most certainly need more bullpen arms. Pressly was due for a regression of sorts… and Abreu is being used like somebody went to settings and turned off injuries/fatigue. Hader may have just had a bad night… him walking the leadoff hitter with one of the lowest OBP for any regular in baseball was just tremendously awful and unacceptable.

Skenes effect. They also know that they won’t get to enjoy nice things indefinitely.

How did the Yankees get Jazz. Same thing we’ll be asking in a few years with one of these Cruz boys, or even Skenes himself.

Kinda what I feared going into the game. Hopefully Hunter can go 6 or 7 tonight. Scott, Pressly, and Hader are all down today.

There were tons of LSU fans there yesterday. On the walk in there were more LSU jerseys than Pirates jerseys.

I’m guessing Atlanta may draw more LSU fans, but Houston has got to be close. Technically we are the closest MLB market to Baton Rouge.

It’s great for baseball…. Great for college baseball…. And hopefully more “special” kids like Skenes continue to breakthrough and get fast-tracked.

Please lord please. Hopefully the Yankees being an inter-division rival will give us the leg up.

The Rays front office aren't idiots.

I don't think the current Astros front office should be dealing with them.

Hell, the Rays have the same record as the Pirates... if they were in a shittier division, they wouldn't be sellers. They're actually probably relishing at this opportunity to do a pseudo-re-tool/rebuild and fleecing teams for guys that have already had their best production under their organizational watch.
