Oh I'm still here, IT WAS ABOUT FREAKING TIME. Dude is a major liability in the outfield and basepaths so he NEEDS to do that way more often, basically copy his August so far for the remainder of his Stros career.
What is up with that 5th spot for Mills? Bourn Sanchez Pence Lee KEPPINGER J-Mike CJ Q Keppinger batting 5th is comical, not sure why CJ or J-Mike aren't in that spot.
Why is Micheals even playing? Brett Wallace should get all the ABs at 1st for the rest of the season. He can hit lefties.
Carlos Lee starting at 1st base tonight should be interesting. Maybe it could increse his trade value but I want to see Wallace at 1st.
I just don't get Mills babying Wallace so much. He pinch hits for him in most clutch situations and frequently sits him vs. LHP, who Wallace hits fine.
Yeah it makes no sense to me as well. Wallace was hitting like .390 versus lefties this year in the minor leagues. Jason Michaels probably won't be here next year so why waste valuable ABs that can be given to Wallace. The Mets are doing the same thing to Ike Davis by sitting him against most lefties when he hits them well. These managers act like no left handed hitter can hit lefties.
Has anyone notice we are still in 4th place (infront of the cubbies) and have a chance for 3rd? Just gotta sweep the Pirates and win the series against the Mets (who suck in the road), we'll be a few games behind the Fat Prince in Milwaukee
I really believe we had a chance for a sweep if Lindstrom didn't blow that save to start the series, which would've put us in 3rd place. Too late to complain about that thought
I actually think J-Mike will be back next season, the guy has been good since the break last year and I have NO issues with him playing left but agree on Wallace. I get if they're facing Santana, Hamels or someone like that but Maholm has been struggling and makes no sense to bench him tonight.
I hope he isn't back to be honest. This team isn't going to contend next year and Micheals will be 35 next year. I don't think he wants to be on a rebuilding team at this point of his career.
Love to see Bud pitch this way, he has recovered nicely after the rough start and even the second inning wasn't that bad as there wasn't a hard hit ball vs him.
