Yeah that’s why I said that. This wasn’t a win where you’d say “a win is a win”.

    5) Playing a rookie at RF where it's not his natural position every night
    6) Your backup to Dezenzo and Chas sprained his ankle by admiring a homerun

This is bs. As I said b4, there is difference hitting pitchers 4th and 24th pitch of the inning. And ofcourse if you with hack everything and don't really take AB never, the stats are gonna show the 1st pitch to hack is the best. You don't need to do lot math comparing 0 strikes v 1 & 2 and total magic 0 strikes has better stats.

So the stats you provided are bs and also going in with aproach not gonna take team AB or move runners or be ready to only drive your pitch you have studied in length b4 game and don't swing to other pitches will make it look like this hack n slash is the way to go.

It looks like guys are given permission to skip the work in offense pregame and during game and ride on pitchings back and luck.

    So agree to disagree :).

Just insane we keep winning these tight games even when it feels no way this is nothing but loss. Had to drink some Phillies tears and also watch here n there with Phillies broadcast. We are not alone in this, they were pretty annoyed several times and asked Phillies batter's to take a pitch :).

About aproach rant above. I did't say it but should be obv that winning strategy is not "let's be so lifeless that oppo pitcher is available to be suprise crushed 3rd time around because do you know how good BP are these days". In the mean time our 3-6 starters give 2-5 runs and the oppo pitcher is at 45 pitches when long awaited holy grail of 3rd time around arrives :).

You never know what you get day to day from BP arm. SP is still in the game because he has shown he can throw strikes and don't meltdown today from bad calls etc. Ofcourse somethimes SP has shown ok you swing at everything so don't wanna throw strikes even on 1st pitch.

I think the aproach thingy matters also with BP. One should never expect 100% that they are on they game and swing quick and early as default. They are often brought in jam and there is pressure. The work batter does in box, benefits the next guy up for multiple reasons and also gives rest for our SP if still in the game.

Yankees lost so here we come bye bye!! :)

Hard to believe this is the last year that Framber will wear an Astros uniform.

Valdez and Brown we are now a fantastic 22-9
All other starters we are 24-24 (need to figure out how to keep up with that .500 pace)

We will get Arrighetti back shortly after the ASB. Junior around the same time. Gusto seems like he can hold down the 5th starter spot.

Well apparently the Astros analytics team and hitting coaches agree with me because they keep doing it. I guess you know more than them though. In case you want to educate yourself, there’s a link below from a few years back with further explanation.

You really nailed it with the last time you disagreed with me too - the Yankees definitely wouldn’t start Rodon in game two against us.

On the other hand, they can’t gain ground on us even with Cal Raleigh hitting like Barry Bonds while our best hitter is out along with our rotation. Has to be frustrating.

It’s hilarious all the trolling the Cubs and Red Sox socials were doing about trading Tucker and losing Alex only to completely STFU and go hide the last month and a half.

I would have told you that you that you should stop doubting this org. We are the Brady Patriots. The 80s Lakers. The Gretzky Oilers. Why our most rabid fans don’t expect this baffles me. It’s why I was so irritated last year when some wanted to trade Bregman when we started slow or how even now some want to trade Framber. We know how to win. We teach it. It obviously is effective. We don’t you guys expect it?

Team keeps doing juuuuust enough to win games.

It's not sustainable, but all it needs to do is tide us over until we hopefully get healthy and/or our hitters start to do more.
