They won't send a pitcher down.

The 26 man roster is really 99.9% 2 different 13 man rosters.

    Avoidance Day

    - Astros avoid the sweep and falling to .500
    - Urquidy avoids May games
    - Abreu avoids competence
    - ESPN avoids well-timed interviews
    - Bannon avoids a >.000 OPS
    - Maldy avoids 25 consecutive hitless ABs

    Avoidance Day

I'll admit I wanted Yuli long gone and was super excited we signed Abreu.

But now it does appear we should have signed Yuli to a 1 year deal.

Abreu looks like Bagwell 2005. It's really that bad.

Salazar and Bannon are complete roster spot wastes right now. For all practical purposes we are fielding a 24 man roster with 2 break glass in case of emergency guys that just happen to be there. No real question they go back down when Chaz and Brantley are activated.

Hensley has been absolute garbage, but you can't field a team with only 4 infielders. If you want to keep Salazar, I can't imagine why you would, Julks would have to go down before Bannon or Hensley.

I hope the team is serious about Brantley taking some of Abreu's AB's when he comes back because he looks bad...really bad.

How about we wait until his opposing BABIP gets under .400 before we worry about considering him "lucky"

I think the FO is serious about it in case Abreu continues anything close to as bad as he is now. The only questions to me is that if it continues will Dusty do anything or will the FO let Dusty keep trotting him out there if Abreu continues to be bad and Dusty does nothing.

Glad we finally won last night. Salvaged a little bit of the series. SHOULD be a winnable series. Man Abreu looks like trash though. Brantley can't come back soon enough to take some ABs away from him. For now.

You can't send down Bannon and Hensley and bring back two OF's

He certainly isn't going to lose his roster spot, not with that contract

So all the FO can really do is give him another option and hope he uses it

I think Bannon must be the next position player sent down.

    After that?

Salazar is a wasted roster spot, but he made the opening day roster for a reason - to allow Dusty to play Diaz and still have a catcher on the bench.

That hasn't changed, eventhough Dusty refuses to play Diaz who may get more time at 1B with Abreu struggling. ( hopeful)

Hensley has been bad and not just the results. He looks scared to swing at the plate. He needs to go back to Sugar Land an
    That is true.

I hope its Bannon and Salazar, but it still feels like activating 2 OF without sending at least one down is bad for position versatility.

It feels like there is no place for Julks.
